Nook Experts- Help Please

I bought my mom a Nook for Christmas. To make it easier for her to use I was setting it all up for her and loading books for her. I haven't figured out how to download a book to a PC and then to the Nook. I am trying to figure this out since Mom doesn't have WiFi and I want to be able to help. Would I need to download the PC app from the B & N website onto her PC?

Can those of you who have loaded books when you were not in a WiFi area explain the process? Do I have to save the book to the PC and then download? What are the actual steps?

If you download a book from another source, you will need to save it on your PC, and put it into the Adobe software from the barnes and noble site. Then when you set up the software make sure your nook is attached to the PC. Then you can drag and drop onto the nook within Adobe. I hope I am clear, but if not, just let me know!!

what i do, is simply click the download button on the bn.com site, and the book is saved to a folder on my computer. i then connect the nook via USB cable, open the nook files and drag and drop the book file from my computer folder to the nook's "my documents" folder. if you drag and drop the book to the nook's "my b&n library" folder, the book will not open.

When you say the "adobe software" do you mean the Nook App for PC that they offer? Sorry for all the questions, I really want this this gift to knock my Mom's socks off. Thank you so much!
