Noodle Station

Just wanted to post that I had my worst meal ever at the Noodle Station. I was doubled over in pain and could not walk. Had the chicken and cashew salad, and potstickers. Tasted an egg roll...and swore there was shrimp in it. Was not impressed...but there were tons of people eating there. Perhaps the spices were more toward their liking.

When you say you were doubled over in pain, do you think you had food poisoning or something? Did something taste spoiled?
I was really looking forward to the change of pace for CS in MK.

I too, am curious as to whether you had food poising or just a reaction to something your body usually doesn't like anyway. As for the egg roll, its fairly common (at least around here) to get baby shrimp in egg rolls..

Food poisoning has an onset of at least 8 hours past consumption, so if it occured during the meal it was probably just a bad reaction to something.

If it was a few hours afterwards (3-4 hours), there's a slight possibility that it's food intoxication (staph bacteria - personal experience :( ). But if that was the case, others in the party should have presented with symptoms, as well.

Sorry you had a bad time there, though :(

I had the Shrimp Pad Thai and founf the noodles to be very soggy and the taste was very off. The egg roll was also very fishy smelling. Although the Pot Sticker were pretty good. Overall I was not satisfied and disappointed..

Totally agree, pretty bad food at pretty high prices. Kids had the kids chicken teriyaki, they weren't impressed. I had the chicken lo mein, it was worse than the stuff at the mall food court ;). DH couldn't eat his barbequed pork, it was worse than the stuff you get at Pecos Bills. Actually Pecos Bills food was better! Never again. Live and learn, a shame though because DD7 had her heart set on this place, even she wan't impressed! Bad part was for the same $$ we could have eaten a sit down meal with the DDE card somewhere!

My DH is Chinese, and when I told him that the Noodle Station was open and what they were serving, he grimaced. He had a feeling that the food wouldn't be too great. Now we know for certain not to waste our money. Sorry you had such a bad experience.

We ate there. It wasn't great, or really above mediocore. But neither are most of the counter services in MK.
I will give it another try sometime. It is a nice change from burgers and fries.

Funny thing was last Saturday we ate at Kona Cafe for dinner.
We took our time and went to Adventureland to get a Dole Whip for dessert.
I suggested the $1.99 ginger creme brulee at the Noodle place. DH wrinkled his nose and said it tasted like a $2 creme brulee. :rotfl:
I liked their creme brulee. It was not high quality (more like custard). But I still liked it. And for $2 at MK that is a decent $.

I will certainly return there for their ice tea and creme brulee. :)

I had the chicken noodle bowl. If I'd been aware that they use dark meat chicken I would not have ordered it. If you like dark meat chicken it might be okay.

I did like the creme brulee. It's pretty good but nothing really special.

Interestingly enough, those are the EXACT words that FH described the creme brulee with.

We were pretty happy with the noodle place. The stir fry left something to be desired, but both the noodle bowl and bbq pork bun were very good.

I had intense and increasing abdominal pain. Felt really bad, and I could not stand upright at about the 3rd hour. Ended up having multiple "bathroom incidents". The next day I was much..much better, but layed low on the food for 24 hours. FYI DH ate something different, but also had the potstickers, and egg roll...and he was fine. But also alittle disappointed. Just could have been a bad night. Everything smelled so good though!!

Sounds like it could have been food intoxication, then, from staph bacteria. It's unfortunately pretty common (not at Disney, just anywhere). I'm assuming your DH didn't have the salad?

(not a doctor, and all that, just studying food microbiology and interested in that kind of thing)

Well, sounds like a really good thing that I made a lunch PS for Kona instead of counting on the Noodle Station then...... With DDE, it's not that much more & I know the food will be delish.
