Noodle Station & Diamon Horseshoe Opened

I see that the Noodle Station and Diamond Horseshoe will be open during the "free dining" period when I will be be at WDW. That has maded me worry about crowds. We always pick September to go because of the low attendance. Anyone else "has the feeling that we're not alone anymore"?

I think this is a good thing that Disney is doing as many people on Free Dining or any Dining Plan during that time period will wait too long to get ADRs of any kind or think they can just walk into restaurants of their choice. This is a good option for them as I imagine both will be one TS and be on a first come first serve basis.

Don't think it is really a crowd indicator as they are not opening Noodle Station for CS full time, just on sundays for these TS dinners.

Free dining in Aug/Sept does not so much increase the park crowds as it does the restaurant crowds.

There are only 5 table service restaurants in MK, and one of those (CRT) costs 2 credits and has very low capacity. So they need to add more TS dining choices for the free diners.

I wonder what they are serving. $35/adult seems like a whole lot of money for orange chicken.

I totally agree. We go every year around the end of August and the crowds are usually pretty low, but the restaurants have been busy the last couple of years because of free dining.

We went last year in September during free dining as well. As others have mentioned the resaurants were very very busy with little to no availibilty anywhere if you didn't have reservations. But anywhere else it is was mild to moderate crowds. The only times I really felt it was busy was at MK on an extram magic hours night and parade times .. which are always congested.
Other than that I only used fast pass 3 times in 10 days. It was very enjoyable
