Noob here! Marathon Weekend ?'s

Hi. It was recently brought to my attention that you can rent an rv to stay at Ft Wilderness. I don't know why I have never thought of this, lol. I am interested in booking a site for marathon weekend 2015. What would be the closest full hook up sites to the marina area? The whole point would be for my husband and the kids to be as close as possible to the boats so they can easily see me pass the Contemporary on half and full marathon mornings. Thanks!

Premium, Preferred and Full hookup sites all have power, sewer, water and cable. For closest to the marina you would need a premuim site and request the 100 loop which is the closest walk to the Marina. But no matter what loop you request, there is an internal bus system that can take you to the marina.

I think what jbrostek meant was that the Preferred loops 100 and 200 are closest to the boat docks to ride over to the Contemp. 400 is a Premium loop and it's right across the street from 100 (stayed in 400 on my last trip) so if you want a Premium site that's a good loop to get.

I agree with jbrostek that the three types of sites available with all hook ups can support a rental trailer. The only type that won't is the Tent (aka Partial) loops.

I'm signed up for the Half Marathon at Disney in January but I will be staying in my little popup (requested loop 100). Therefore I have never used any of the names that follow but many folks here have so use the Search Tool on this board to research them and google their names to find their websites.

Doh, thought 100 got bumped up to premium pricing. I will be there for the run Disney weekend, but the only running you will see from me is with the dogs in the dog park.
