We will be traveling to Disney in September, and have our room booked at AKL using the current 30% off offer. We do not live in Florida.
A legit Florida-resident relative will be meeting us there, but she will be staying off-site with a friend to keep her costs down. I'd like to surprise her by booking/paying for her a room at Wilderness Lodge. When I search for our dates with the current "anybody" 30% off code, there are no rooms available at the WL. However, when I search for rooms using the Florida resident filter, there *are* discounted rooms available.
Here is my question: provided that she is linked in my Friends & Family group, can I book (and pay for) a WL room using the Florida-resident discount as long as the person who will be staying in the room can show proof of Florida residency at check-in? I know I could just have her book the room herself and I could just pay her back but I'd like to surprise her at the last minute by having everything taken care of ahead of time.
Thank you in advance!
