non-signature steak dinners??

are there any good steakhouses that are NOT signature restuarants?? I hate the idea of using 2 credits for one meal but DH & DS would love a good steak dinner.

You could always go to Le Cellier still for lunch. Their filet is to die for!!!

My DH had a pretty good steak at Sanaa as well.

Kona Cafe in the Polynesian has a NY Strip and a Ribeye on their menu. The Wave in the Contemporary has a filet. And like PP mentioned, Le Cellier is still 1 credit at lunch

we've had good steaks at Turf Club (SSR...near DTD), Captain's Grill (Yacht Club - walk from Epcot), also at Coral Reef in Epcot.

Other good steaks at The Wave (Contemporary Resort), Kona Cafe (Polynesian) and Grand Floridian Cafe (Grand Floridian) All of these are easy to reach on the monorail from Magic Kingdom.

Have had good steaks at Maya Grill (Coronado Springs) and Olivia's Cafe (Old Key West.) These are a bit harder to get to unless you have a car...need to take a cab or take bus from a park to these resorts.


All of the above at 1 TS credit places.

I didn't realize Le Cellier was 1 credit for lunch. Unfortunately they aren't avail a single day the week we are there (mid May - I know I'm booking ADRs late).

Keep checking. I got a dinner ADR for Le Cellier in February for our trip the first week of May and have been trying ever since to get a lunch one instead. This past week when I was checking I happened to find one on a day that worked for our party of 5.

I agree with PP - Whispering Canyon has a great steak.

I always get the steak when we go there. (DH gets the skillet). And I haven't had a bad steak yet.
They used to have a ribeye that was out of this world. But recent changes to the menu brought the Strip and it was very good. There is something about they way they cook it...just perfection.
And it has that "charcoal" taste that you get when you bbq at home. MMm, just thinking about it makes me hungry!!

Rose & Crown has a surf and turf that's pretty good. Really we've gotten some very good steaks there and a couple that weren't so good. We've also gotten good steaks at Coral Reef, Turf Club, Konas, GF Cafe, and Mama Melrose.
