Non-responsive sellers on Ebay.

Has anybody noticed an increase in non-responsive sellers lately? I won two auctions, and each were very cheap, so I'm wondering if the seller is not responding just so that I will file a claim and refund my money. The one seller has very high feedback -- she probably figures that one bad apple won't knock down her ratings. And the other one has zero feedback -- makes you wonder if it was somebody already registered and was going to see how much she could get for it and if it didn't turn out okay she wouldn't sell it. Makes me mad...because they were really good deals! :headache:

The seller is not responding???
I always just pay, I don't wait on an invoice, most of my buyers don't either. I only invoice them separately from Ebay when they are days past due.

I've had three instances in the past few months where I won an auction for a low price, paid right away, and never received the item from the seller. None of them ever answered my emails that I sent about a week after I'd paid to see if they'd even shipped yet. I reported them all to Ebay as non-performing sellers. If they do this enough, they will no longer meet the criteria to sell on Ebay. I, too, figured they didn't want to sell for what I'd paid to win.---Kathy

I pay immediately also.

I always pay right away as a buyer also.

As a seller, I can tell you that many of my buyers pay immediately as well, but I always send invoices out within an hour of the auction ending for those that don't.

How long has it been? I think after 2 weeks I would report them and file for refund...but that is ridicualous that you have to do that. I hope they get in trouble.

One has been 16 days and the other not quite as long.

It might depend on what part of the country they are in as well. I know some parts are getting massive snow and losing electricty, so that could be a reason as well....though 16 days is a long time.

The one that is 16 days lives in Florida. I really hate to file a claim because I really, really want this item, and if I file a claim I'll get my money back. I'm still hoping for the goodness of mankind to pull through. :rolleyes1

This just happened to me! I won a new American Girl doll for my daughter, won and paid on Jan. 6, have heard NOTHING!! Filed an ebay claim on Monday...sure hope I'm refunded soon. Thank God I didn't mention the doll to my 7 year old or she'd be driving me crazy. I will just order from the AG site from now on, not worth this kind of hassle to save $10.
