At the end of May to the beginning of June I have a studio booked with points at Aulani. So far there is just three of us on the reservation, but some of the traveling party will be at other hotels/airbnb's. I know that Aulani has restricted some activities to resort guests so I thought to see what others have seen. If they wanted to visit us, can they do that? We still have one name on the reservation that we could add plus the infant under 3 if we have to. They would be bringing a car there so having their name on the reservation could help with the parking fee. If the littles wanted to do the slides or splash pad or even the lazy river, do they need to have a wristband to use those? Can they go into the shops with us?
What else could they do as a non-resort guest? I have looked at their website so I have a general idea, but just would like to get what people are actually experiencing.

You would be able to add one other guest plus a guest age 2 and under who would then be considered resort guests (thus having access to all amenities at the resort). They will receive a room key card with their name on it, can get the wrist band for the pool from the towel attendant each day after confirming they are a resort guest. Non-resort guests who come visit you could join you only at the beach and can shop at the shops but could not join you at the pool area, beach chairs or any activities.

If for one day one of the people in my party wanted to let someone else wear the wristband does not work or do they have paper wristbands that are the one time use ones?

The wristbands are plastic, will last the whole day, or even week if you leave them on. Pretty much need to cut them off. Aulani is pretty strict about person needing to be present in order to actually get wristbands. They won't give you a wristband to put on yourself or bring to your family member who isn't present with you.

No. If they want to use the Aulani pools, they need to be Aulani guests. Full stop. Just to be clear, this isn't a temporary measure due to COVID-19, this has always been the rule. The only temporary measure in terms of resort access is limiting who can book dining reservations.

They CAN use the beach. All beaches in Hawaii are considered public.
