Non-Partisan Thoughts About Vice-President Cheney

Umm.. wow. One 11 year old parrots what their parents believe and it's an accurate analysis. The other 11 year old parrots her families views and it's just plain parroting. "Polly want a cracker"??

When you put it all together, it makes so much sense. :lmao:

The "wow" was there to indicate I thought it was silly to take serious an 11 year olds opinion on political matters, but if we are going to do that.. then I'll take my child's and I think that the other person should take their's and "get over it".

But good cutting and pasting as always. :thumbsup2

This not a political matter, it was a hunting accident which occurred during a recreational outing.

If it had been a democrat that was shot, in other than a field while bird hunting, then I agree it might be a story.

If it rose to the level of cover up where we had the evidence captured on a blue dress, or a dead woman, who suffocated in the back of a Senators car, that would be different.

Now, now... Remember the words of your most sage 11 year old.

Funny, for someone who would rather not read what I write, you sure make a point of reading everything I write. And not only do read everything I write, you take the time to comment on everything I write. Your behavior suggests to me that you aren’t being exactly truthful with the above quote. I think you like me Joe. In fact I think you like me a lot.

That’s OK. I’m not about to go all Brokeback Message Board on you. I’m just flattered by your harmless little obsession with me.

Oh, you can protest all you want. But we both know how you feel. Finding out your Vice-President shot someone in the face with a shotgun can be quite traumatic for some. You never know what feelings are going to bubble to the surface.

The important thing is you not be ashamed JoeEpcot. I accept you for who you are.

I can't take anymore, you're too funny Mossman. :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Thanks for the laughs Mossman, you rock! :worship:

I'm confused, or maybe you are.

A hunting accident is something we should get over.

Killing a woman, refusing to do what you could to save her life; covering up the incident; is criminal, and not to be gotten over. We should always remember. Please take that lesson to your child.

Same for perjury in the highest office in the world. If the president will perjure over an accidental discharge, is anything out of bounds? I don't think so. He'll lie about anything.

Your child raising advice is worth nothing to me. I do not want get into a war about parenting skills because I don't agree with you views. Take that to another thread if that is the direction YOU want to go in.

OK, now you've hurt my feelings.

I was trying to lead you to the promised land of reasoned knowledge, but alas, you cast me aside. Please try and keep and open mind. If not for you, then for your children. Or the children, there's alot of them.

We should teach them all that killing someone and then covering the crime up is wrong, on every level. It cannot be rationialized or glossed over.

Well I think my 11 year old is too young to know about the intimate relations about any person. And I think she is too young to understand the intricacies of the criminal justice system and one particular case.

However, If you want to tell you child about BJs and semen stains -- go for it.

I won't tell you how to raise your kid. However, if your child is well versed on oral sex, please keep her away from my child for now. :sunny: Have a nice day.

Ok, now you have proven that you are sick.

This is why I suggested you just explain that killing someone, leaving them for dead, failing to privide aid, is a crime ans should not go unpunished.

But you cannot be reasoned with, I know that. Pointing it out to you has got to be very frustrating.

You're the one that wants me to explain about Monica Lewinsky to my child, so she won't think the vice president shooting someone in the face while drinking is news.

If its so frustrating then why don't you "get over it" and stop posting on this thread?

The shooting WAS an accident. Drunk drivers have frequent accidents for which they are punished. Since you insist on bringing Ted Kennedy into it, he ruined his marriage and his entire political career because of the way he handled that car accident, covering up his affair no doubt. He did not get off scott free.
Cheney admitted having one beer. Under normal circumstances one beer would not impair your judgement. You would still be able to differentiate between and quail and a hawk. :confused3 Now let's suppose you take sedatives for your heart or other medications you may be impaired with one beer. Now let's suppose you fib just a bit. You really didn't have one beer you have five beers. hmmmmmmmmmm... better stay away from the authorities till the next day! Would his friends lie for him? nahhhhhhhhhhhh and there ARE WMD's in Iraq and Al Qaeda and Hussein are best buds. This administration wouldn't know a lie from a mirage. They lied from the start when they said the victim only had superficial wounds. A pellet IN the HEART is serious, obviously since it caused a heart attack! Todays news is that Bush had to get on Cheney to make a statement and Cheney was originally going to leave out the part he was the shooter. Can't make this stuff up, stay tuned!!

Please explain the Ted Kennedy or Bill Clinton stories to your 11 year old (you can do it without the graphics on the Clinton story) and tell me how they respond.

Was the privledge afforded Ted Kennedy appropriate? Did he get away with murdering Mary Jo, as the investigators believe?

Is it ok to perjure yourself as Clinton did, regardless he subject matter? Never mind the acts in the oval office, you know, the cigar humidor trick, blue dress, etc.

I wait patiently for your response...

There have been a string of presidents and plenty of politicians on both sides who have had extramarital affairs while in office. Many were lucky enough to have people that covered up for them, and press that kept quiet. Clinton should have told them to stay out of his business. I agree with you that he didn't need to lie. He should have told them to take a flying leap. What happened was between him, Monica and Hilary - not the world.

The Kennedys have a history of this kind of behavior (William Smith and the other Kennedy that was recently implicated in the murder case of that gal). They wouldn't be the poster family for model behavior, but that said, their family has also done a lot of good - example: Eunice Shriver and Special Olympics.

He did not shoot someone while drinking. That is a outright LIE. :sad2:

No, he was quite sober when he engaged a much younger subordinant in oral sex leaving the White House maid service to clean the sink. Sounds like sexual harrassment to me. He then went on to lie to a Grand Jury, after repeatedly lying to the American people in attempt to subvert Paula Jone's civil trial. Nice guy that Bill Clinton. Furthermore, Dick Cheney didn't shoot anyone in the face "while drinking", it was a hunting accident. There are nearly 1000 in the USA every year. Sorry Joe, meant to respond to the other post, not yours.

I'm not outraged at Cheney about his hunting practices. I am outraged that my oil prices are almost at three dollars a gallon and the fact that my nephew is about to go for his third duty in Iraq. That is what I'm fed up with.

We may never know if he was impaired or not. That is why we are still talking about this story.

"We" are still talking about this story because the national media and the White Housse press corps felt slighted.

The sheriff's report says, ""The investigation reveals that there was no alcohol or misconduct involved in the incident."

Yes, someone on the DIS says "the Vice President was shooting someone in the face while drinking" as if it were fact. Pitiful. :sad2:

What do oil prices have to do with Cheney?

As for the war in Iraq, blame the terrorists and former terrorist supporter, Saddam.

25 million liberated in Afganistan and 25 million liberated in Iraq -- make me proud to be an American. (Oh wait, I suppose the UN was going to do something evenutally after they spent all their bribe money. Maybe I should thank them too. NOT.)
