Hello all!

I need help planning my up coming trip in February. My family are going to have a mini family reunion at WDW, with my family, my parents and my sister's family. We are going to stay on site a few days, then go on a short Disney Cruise, then a week at a out of property vacation rental and then a couple more days staying on site.

During the off property week, we will visit Legoland and Seaworld, plus shopping and just hang out. I am thinking to plan a day to visit Disney Resorts, partitularly Fort Wilderness. My family are from the concrete jungle of Hong Kong and they don't get to experience the beautiful wooden campground.

Can you guys suggest an one day itinerary which I can show them all the wonderful things around Disney World? We will have a three y.o. twins, a 5 y.o. and 10 y.o.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

would go ask on the Orlando hotels and attraction board.

the problem is your kids are young - alot of the fun stuff they can't do.

rent a boat (it will have to be big and expensive) at WL or polyn or fW and see the bay lake and seven seas lagoon.

think the kids (at least 3 years) are too small even for the pony ride at FW.

ride the buses to as many of the WDW resorts as you want them to see. there go visit the shops and restaurants - walk around the place - even the values have things to see in their resorts.

Can we park at Fort Wilderness' parking lot and start our resort hopping day? What is the rule on parking for visitors?

Visitors can park for 3 hours at a resort. you could explore Ft. Wilderness, then take the boat over to Wilderness Lodge, then take boat to Contemporary, hop on monorail to see Poly & GF, from GF take monorail 1 stop to MK, and either take boat or bus back to Ft Wilderness. Pick up your car and maybe drive to Animal Kingdom Lodge to look around.

you could once - but now it has gates like the rest of WDW - so not sure. Have not been there with my car since they closed the pet kennel. Spicey stayed at the pet kennel alot. Love it!

you can park at DD and just take the first resort bus that comes along that you want to do.

I would spend a day at Fort Wilderness. Especially go to Mickey's Backyard Barbecue. It is great fun for the whole family. The buffet is good, and the entertainment and characters are fun, too. I did it for the first time in March and liked it so much I did it again when I returned in May. It's fun for the whole family. If you have small children I would definitely choose the barbecue over Hoop Dee Doo.

Oh those are hreat ideas.

I would like to have dinner at Trail's end and go to the campfire sing along. If there is a three hours limit for parking. Then I will have to start my day some where else then..... hummmmmm

Lots of fun stuff at Fort Wilderness. We also like touring the monorail resorts.

We go during low crowd times, never had a problem parking someplace for dinner for more than 3 hours. On last trip, parked at GF for dinner, then hit some of the other monorail resorts for shopping. Also parked at Wilderness Lodge one year, walked trail to FW for Trails End dinner, then took boat back to WL.

Does anyone knows what type of bike they have available for rent at FW's bike barn? Would be great to rent a couple of Surrey bike to tour around the campground and to Wilderness lodge.
