We are staying at Coronado Springs. My DD is getting a princess makeover on a Sunday morning (non-park day). What can we do the rest of the day in the Disney / Orlando area? We can’t swim at our resort since she will be getting her hair done.

all resorts have some activities daily, resort hopping and maybe add a character meal? Fireworks watching from outside MK are still beautiful. Great time to do some
shopping.

Are we allowed to do the activities at the other resorts if we aren’t staying there? If yes, how do I obtain copies of their daily activities guide?

AKL has a lot of stuff to do. Maybe try for 1900 Parke Faire for an early dinner

There is shopping at Disney Springs, and at many gift shops on both 192, and International Drive. There is mini golf, both on property, and outside of Disney World. There are shops, and restaurants in Celebration that you could check out, or visit Old Town for a while. Wonder Works is pretty cool. Lots of stuff to do outside of Disney!

They best fireworks I saw were when we were the monorail. It was fantastic, but they are really fantastic from anywhere you can see them.

Definitely do 1900 Park Fare for dinner.

I was going to suggest AKL as well. You can animal watch and I don't know if it is allowed but when I was there on our last trip resort hopping a CM suggested I bring my daughter there for some of the activities. They do a lot of stuff every day.

If your DD is going to be all made up, I would definitely try and schedule a character meal, I believe 1900 Park Fair is the only non-park meal with a Princess. When we did BBB, we always tried to do it on our MK park day to do the Princess meet and greets.

I’ve heard the food isn’t that great at 1900. We are foodies so we definitely prefer quality food over characters.

Yes! You can hop in to activities at any time. When visiting my family in the area, we like to resort hop and hang out. :)

Our non park days usually involve a morning at the Boardwalk doing photoshoots (obviously this doesn't have to be there) But you could go explore the area/resorts, stop for ice cream at Beaches & Cream (window, or get a resso for inside)

-Disney Springs! There's SO much to do, especially now, TONS of stores to check out, you can get a resso or qs meal easily, there's bowling & movies!
-We like to do a tour of the monorail resorts too, check everything out, though we're usually enjoying a drink at each, lol, you could sub in a treat/snack at each?
-AKL is gorgeous and has the animal safari that you can check out that makes things more entertaining for the kids
-Carriage rides at Port Orleans! Nice way to get some beignets too!
-Fort Wilderness is ALWAYS my go to! Between Hoop Dee Doo, Mickey's Backyard BBQ, Chip & Dale sing a long/movie/campfire thing, and horses to see, it's a blast! (I'd say horseback riding but with princess hair I doubt the helmet would fit)
-Fireworks from the Poly/GFlo are great
-Or a resso at: 1900 Park Fair, Whispering Canyon, or any of the Fort's restaurants!
-Mini Golf!

No worries!! I've spent a lot of time down in Disney and the parks weren't always the best place to be, it's nice to relax, we usually now do one day per trip of non parks & photoshoots instead because we realized how much we like it!

It is very pricey, but there is a princess tea party with Aurora at the Grand Floridian:

There is also a new character breakfast with Rapunzel, Flynn, Ariel and Prince Eric at Trattoria al Forno. Not sure if you would have time for that after her makeover?

Hair appt is at 9:30am at CSR Spa. My plan is to have breakfast at our resort.

concierge desk can always help and I don’t know if there’s a problem participating on certain activities, for sure no pools but I have personally visited deluxe resorts in the past and have been able to for example use the night vision animal watch at Animal Kingdom

Night vision watch at AK?? I haven't heard of this before. How do I get more info so that my family can do this. This sounds awesome!
