Hi! My family DH, Me, DD4, and DS10 are staying for 3 days at AKL after a 7 day DCL cruise. Instead of doing the 3 days commando style, we just want to take it easy. Maybe just hit the parks in early morning. Can you suggest some non-park activities for the evenings or afternoons so the kids won't drive us crazy?

Lots of things to do right at AKL...of course the pool is a good place to start, and then there's the animal viewing. THey also have story telling by the firepit and hotel tours. It's a truly fabulous place to stay.

Other ideas--Disney Quest, rent a pontoon boat for a fireworks cruise, head over to Fort Wilderness and rent bikes...or surry bikes at the BW.

Pirate Cruise for the kids, or tea with ALice, or Grand Adventures in Cooking.

Take them to Epcot and only visit the World Showcase, there are some great scavenger hunts that you can find on teh web for that park.

How about the Boardwalk in the early evening. We went to dinner at ESPN and after dinner my DS played some of the mid-way games and won a stuffed animal, we got some ice cream and walked around, there were some jugglers and other entertainment going on as well. You could also rent a bike and go for a ride. Maybe even stay late enough to see the fireworks from Epcot.

We like to check out some of the other hotels and see where we want to stay next. My DS loves to check out the arcades in all the resorts and we always grab a snack or drink and I check out the gift shops.

Don't forget there is always Downtown Disney.

Another idea is hanging out at one of the water parks or going mini-golfing!!!

Yes - I was going to suggest min-golf, because the Summerland/Winterland mini-golf is very close to AKL, right next to Blizzard Beach.

And don't forget DisneyQuest over at Downtown Disney.

What I would like to do during non-park time...

Pool...pool...pool

Downtown and walk around and shop...shop...shop

eat at one of the restaurants there at DD...eat...eat...eat

Resort hopping....hop...hop...hop
