Non-MouseFest DIS Meet 2009 - Who's going?

I would love to go to Mousefest every year, but I don't think it is going to happen at this point. I was so fried after this trip. I just can't commando anymore. At least not at my present weight. And I have to adjust my mind set. I need to be alright with just doing the Mousefest stuff and not having it be a "Disney Trip." You know what I mean? I have to get this mind set for the cruise trip. And the budget is also a major factor. Maybe if I stay ... :scared1: ... at a value. Or even more astounding, off-site. I have never stayed off-site. The cruise trip will actually be my first non Disney hotel stay. Or maybe if we could get a good price at the Swan/Dolphin. HHHMMMM. Do we know anyone with a good relationship with these hotels? ;)

At this point, I think my next trip after the cruise is a solo 10 or 11 day trip in April 2010. I want nice weather, and I want to be able to swim. I'm thinking a split stay at the Beach Club and Animal Kingdom Lodge.

I really think the best area to stay for Mousefest is an Epcot area hotel. So easy to get to 2 sets of meets.

Only time will tell.

Hi Kim!

That is what I did this trip. I did not look at it as a trip to WDW...I focused on MF meets, etc. I only hit two parks...MGM and Epcot. It was still exhausting, but it wasn't nearly as exhausting as rushing around from park to park and hitting everything along the way!

I stayed at the Dolphin and it was Fab! In fact, we're staying at the Dolphin pre-cruise as well. We got in on the special rate that they were offering for pre and/or post cruise stays for the podcast cruise...

I'm not allowed to start planning for MF 2009 just yet...must get through the podcast cruise first! :thumbsup2

we actually have a 10 day vacation at WL already booked starting 12/10/09. So we will be there for part of it at least!

I will definitely be there. The DVC 11 month booking window will be opening in just a few weeks and I intend on making my reservation right away. I had already planned on attending Mousefest 2009. Having such a fabulous time this year cemented that decision.

I would love to be there. DH has said I could bring the girls and go without him. But, having the kids along would take away from the fun of MF. DH doesn't think he can take off during that time. It would be lots of fun, though.

Woo Hoo! We are going!!! :cool1: :cool1: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :cool1: :cool1:

Today Disney announced that they are offering free 5 day park hoppers to the Military. We were going to skip MF in 2009 because our AP's expire in Aug 09. We are not going to renew until Aug 2010. Now that they are offering free tickets, we'll use some of the DVC points we had planned on banking and it's practically a free trip! :teeth: Don't you just love Disney math.:teacher: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I am so excited!

Dang...wish I could get a practically free trip...then maybe I could count on going!!!

I'd love to go, but my teaching schedule just doesn't jive with it. :(
