This is probably a silly question. I am a new DVC member and I have heard that you must reserve a non-home resort vacation at least 30 days in advance. Any truth to that? Thanks. :earboy2:

No, if there is availability at any DVC resort, you can even book same day ressies. The 30 days may apply to non-DVC stays, like the Plaza in NYC or an Interval International trade...but I'm not sure as I've never stayed at a non-DVC unit on points.

You must cancel a DVC ressie at least 31 Days in advance, or the points go into a holding account. They can not be booked any sooner than 60 days and can not be banked, if they are in a holding account status.
