This is probably a silly question. I am a new DVC member and I have heard that you must reserve a non-home resort vacation at least 30 days in advance. Any truth to that? Thanks.
No, if there is availability at any DVC resort, you can even book same day ressies. The 30 days may apply to non-DVC stays, like the Plaza in NYC or an Interval International trade...but I'm not sure as I've never stayed at a non-DVC unit on points.
You must cancel a DVC ressie at least 31 Days in advance, or the points go into a holding account. They can not be booked any sooner than 60 days and can not be banked, if they are in a holding account status.
