Non-guest resort parking

I will be bringing two granddaughters to WDW in October. During one of our days there, they will be going to a park and I will be staying at the resort. My friend who lives in Florida would like to visit me and have lunch at the resort- All Star Music. Can she park close by?

I would definitely call Disney ahead of time and ask. Typically, this shouldn't be a problem because there's plenty of parking at the All Star Resorts. I've gone to other value resorts before to check them out and security didn't have an issue. The issue is more prominent at small parking lots in Deluxe Resorts like The Polynesian. But again, for security purposes, I'd call ahead and ask Disney directly.

As long as someone is visiting a guest of that resort, it is seldom an issue to park there. My ds lives in Tampa and visits me, at WDW, at lot. My dd, now lives in Clermont (works at US) and visits me. They have my room number in case the guard asks....sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.
And as an aside...you 'think' you called the resort. You called the number and got a call center. Even if you're sitting in your resort room and you hit 'front desk' on the phone, you get a call center. So, when you call and get info, be aware, you may not be getting correct info. It's happened too many times to count.
