I've considered buying this bag:

It seems like it would be easy enough to carry my few items in, plus additional items that we'd purchase. Does anyone have a bag like this??

I have a backpack similar to this but it was made of cotton. Weighed about 5 ounces instead of 1. It was handy but I didn't like that everything migrated to the bottom of the bag. Made it very difficult to find little things like lip balm or suntan lotion. I alternated between this and a small backpack that DS took to school when he was in kindergarten and first grade. It had one pocket on the outside to hold little things. It was good also but hotter. Our last trip was in March so not as hot.

I'll post a pic from the net here, but I'd have to say no...unless you roll them really tightly! Diapers and a change of clothes for one, plus all the other regular day-tripping essentials: Definitely enough room. But probably not enough room for the amount of stuff it takes to be prepared for three little ones. The dimensions are 13" x 10' x 4".

If it's not big enough, check out the other Baggallini bags. Lots of styles in tons of sizes, colors and fabrics!

Thanks for the great pic!

Does this bag hang over your back? Can't someone just open it up and you wouldn't even know it? I like the way these bags look, but I keep thinking someone could get in it and steal something. :confused3

I have used a fanny pack successfully on our last trip but will need more room for water and sunscreen, etc. this time. (Plus, one of my students saw a picture of me "pulling the sword out of the stone" and said "Are you wearing a FANNY PACK????" I didn't know they were that embarrassing!) Would the tear drop bag or the baggallini messenger bag be better for a family of 5 with NO little ones (they are 8,11 and 14)--but a mom who carries all the "stuff'? I want something bigger than a fanny pack, but not up to diaper-bag size (been there, done that).

traces7 --> It does hang over your back, although I've heard people say they turn it around and wear it in the front. I suppose people could just unzip it, but I don't think it would be any easier to get into than a regular backpack or big tote swinging around on your shoulder! In fact, it would probably be harder to get into because it's smaller and therefore worn closer to your body. Plus, I'd hope to see a little less of that since it's Disney. You can always keep cell phone, tickets and cash in the hidden pockets built into the strap in front.

Rock'n Robin --> I got the Baggallini Messenger Bag for our family of 3 with DS13. It looks like it's going to be big enough for everything we need on the regular park days. My only concern is that it won't hold all of the "just in case" stuff I like to bring PLUS three raincoats. My DH will probably end up bringing his backpack, but at least that will distribute the weight. Plus, I like to bring a towel or "Neat Seat" mat to some parks to sit on instead of the hot pavement and to dry off after wet rides.

Just a note...A lot of "Pooh-sized" DIS boarders had mentioned that this bag was great for fitting a "Pooh-sized" person. I'm a little...how can I say this delicately...blessed in the chest department, as well as a little Pooh-sized and it does fit me well. That said, I don't love how it intersects across the middle, so I might not wear it everyday with every outfit.

I heard about this bag on the DIS, and bought one for our trip we took in May. It was fantastic! :thumbsup2 So glad I bought it. DH didn't feel girlie carrying it when it was his turn, and it was light and comfy when it was my turn.

I can't find any LLBEan teardrop type bags on sale--they are $60! Was the sale over today? I found several different "tear drop" bags on ebags, but I am going to try walmart if I can. The one closest to me is very trashy, so I have to go to the one across town.
DH will NOT wear a bag of any sort. He puts his things he needs in his cargo shorts (wallet and sunglasses). He will wear his digital camera bag as a fanny pack, though.
