OK, so It looks as though the 6-day magic your way with park hopper, water parks and more, and non-expiry options cost $341 per ticket and the 10-day is only $417, a mere difference of $76/ticket. Does this mean that we could go for 6 days now and then use the 4 other days in the future for only $76 more per ticket? A 4 day with the options that I mentioned above is $293. Am I missing something here?

If you are a DVC member and you go yearly you should also price out an annual pass with the DVC discount. If you get an annual pass then you can get the DDE card for 20% off most restaurants for I believe $60. We stager our WDW trips so that we get two years of trips out of one AP.

Hey scott

As a DVC member you get a discount on your AP, I think the prices below are pretty current.

AP 336.00
Premium AP 440.91
These prices include the DVC member discount. I purchased one in order to get the DDE discount card, which saved us around $300.00 bucks on food over a 10 day stay.

When does the clock start ticking on the annual pass? When it is first used or at the time of purchase? We are going to WDW at the end of May.

THe clock starts when you first activate your new AP in the parks Scott. So you can purchase the pass now, but the year won't count down until the first day you use it in May.

the clock starts ticking the day you use your pass for the first time. So you could buy it now and it won't start counting until you use it in May.

And then if you want to use it for next year's trip, you just plan it so that second trip ends before the expiration date on the AP.

Nope, that's right. That's actually what we did for our last trip- we got the 10-day hopper passes with the no-expiration option and only used 3 of our days. So we can use the same tickets on our next trip.
