Did I miss it? When did Disney cancel the non-expiring option? We finally may have a year where we do two trips and now I don't see the option.

How long ago did this end?

Thanks!

Thanks.... this was the first year I was considering buying the non-expiring option.

Many thanks!

the reason was because they made it so expensive that it rarely made sense for anyone to buy it. I have a couple still left over that I bought with the waterpark option. Seems like its an OK deal since I can use my 10 waterpark entries pretty much forever for the amount we go to the waterparks

Non-expiring (let's say 10-day tickets) were not expensive (relatively speaking) if a guest's method of visiting WDW was multiple 1 or 2-day visits, over time.

It WAS too expensive just to use on, say, two trips.

Another advantage was if the guest purchased non-expiring Hoppers and used just a day or two per trip when hopping was needed.

Disney was (in effect) losing quite a bit of revenue to locals who took full advantage of the "day or two" style of visits.

I am not a local, but they were losing quite a bit of revenue from me, too, since we tend to take short trips with only 2-3 days in the park. Several years ago I crunched the numbers and figured that I saved several hundred dollars on buying 10-day NE tickets for three trips. Too bad for me that the option is no longer available!

Agreed.
I said "locals" because it would be more unusual for distant visitors to pay for airfare to and from with just a 2- to 3-day stay.
