Wanted to share some info on non expiring tickets.
I had a 10 day non expiring ticket for a child that had not been used. The child is now 13 and of course considered an adult. I knew that if I had used one day on it before she turned 10 they would let her in on that ticket regardless of the age but from everything i read I understood that since we hadn't used the ticket before she turned 10 we would have to pay for the upgrade and I was unsure how they would calculate it and if they would reissue it as a non expiring since they no longer have those.
Well I am here to gladly report that I went to Guest Services at Magic Kingdom on our visit last week and after some research and discussing with several people, they figured out how to upgrade to adult and didn't charge me anything. They told me they don't charge people for growing up. Not sure if it was pixie dust that day or not but to me I felt like it was pixie dust. We now have at least two more visit paid for. Yeaaaaaa
Just be prepared for it to take a little while. Since they no longer issue them, they have to really dig through the system to find them. At first they told me it had expired in 2012. To which I replied, its a non expiring ticket, how can it expire. It took 3 people to finally figure it out but at the end of the day, I walked out with an upgraded ticket at no charge.
Hopefully someone else will have the same great experience I did if they have to convert a ticket from child to adult.
