Non expiration tickets

Is there a feeling that they will only be worth their cost? Will Disney will not honor them as admission. A friend of mine says this is true. Is it?

As far as I know Disney will honor them but they are not upgradable. I could be wrong on the second part though.

I am not sure what you are asking. If a guest has an old non-expiring ticket that has entitlements remaining, it will be honored for entry to the parks. It cannot be upgraded or changed in any way, since a value cannot be assigned to it since they are no longer sold.

I just took 3 of them that I had partially used and had remaining days on KTW cards with me last week. I went to guest services and had them transferred to cards that I will be able to link to MDE and use in the future. The cm told me that they were still valid and the number of days left on them matched what I had recorded.

They honor the days remaining and you can link them to MDE. They also honor the number of water park days if you had that option.

Yes, mine had 10 days of water parks still on them and 5 days of park hopping. I'm sure they will come in handy at some point. We have APs right now, but I have been wanting to bring them with me the past couple of years to take care of and kept forgetting until this trip.

Are you asking about the old non-expiration tickets or the recent tickets worth no expiration?

All tickets are always valid for what you purchased them for. Some tickets can be upgraded. uograde rules are way too complex to detail without more specifics. Which tickets are we talking about and how we're they purchased?

We had no problem transferring our non-expiring tickets to our MDE. We have 5 park days and 7 water park days left on the tickets we bought in 2008. As the prices for park admission go up they just get more valuable. We just purchased Gold Pass DVC APs and had Guest Relation prioritize them on our MDE so they will get recognized at the taps tile for the next year and not our non-expiring tickets. I'm glad that I read about this on the Disboards before our trip last week. Before we went into a park we had this done at Guest Relations.
