Non-DVC Resorts?

Can I use DVC points to stay at a non-DVC resort(i.e. The Polynesian)?
Also, what is the point rate for these resorts?

Yes you can but it is high. For example one night at the Poly in a garden view room during the regular season is 42 points Sunday through Thursday (76 Friday and Saturday). For a studio at the Boardwalk with a view of the Boardwalk on New Year's eve it would cost you 19 points Sunday through Thursday nights (43 points if it fell on a Friday or Saturday). The 42 at the Poly will keep going up. The 19 at the BWV will always be about the same (if it goes up, something else comes down).

In addition to the high point cost, there is also an administrative charge of $95 to make the rnon-DVC eservation using points.
