The last few times we have visited the parks I have taken Dramamine Less Drowsy and while it helps with motion sickness it does make me very tired. I see Dramamine now has a Non Drowsy Natural option...has anyone tried this? If so, how does it compare to the less drowsy option in controlling motion sickness?

I can get by without it for most parks except Hollywood Studios, but would definitely take it every day if it is effective without the drowsiness.

Thank you!

I have not tried this product, but it was the drowsiness of the original formula that prompted me to try a different approach. I use ginger capsules while in the park these days. It seems to help quite well. This time I may also add some of the ginger chews to the mix as well. Good luck!!

I actually just saw this product for the first yesterday at Target while picking up some Bonine. Hopefully someone chimes in saying whether it works or not. I get horribly motion sickness from the littlest things but also can't take Dramamine due to sleepiness. While at Disney, I take 2 Bonine after breakfast each morning and I'm good all day to ride teacups, space, RNR, all without motion sickness and not a bit of drowsiness until my head hits the pillow at night. I didn't look at the ingredient list but very curious to see if this natural product works as well as regular dramamine.

I used to take Bonine (meclizine) because it worked well and didn't make me sleepy. Before we went on our first cruise a few years ago, I found that I could buy generic meclizine from the pharmacy. So much cheaper than Bonine! I think I paid $6.00 for a bottle of 50.

 holy moley, that's crazy cheap. Thanks for the info on this, love saving money :thumbsup2 Would I need a script since it comes from the pharm or can I just ask for it?

I just looked it up, it's 1000 mg of ginger.
Wonder if I can take it with meclizine?

I'm also going to suggest Bonine, but I take it a little differently (I don't follow the directions on the box). I start taking it the DAY BEFORE I go on rides. I take one in the morning and one a night. I keep them taking that way until I'm done the rides. I have also eaten ginger candy. They are more for immediate relief, not long-term.

i just found this product last month and bought it for DH right before our trip the other week. DH used it a couple mornings and as far as we know it worked! he takes a daily medication too and as far as we know there was no interaction. no drowsiness either.

I usually use the less drowsy which works ok for me. Would rather use a non drowsy natural dramamine so I'm also curious what others have to say about it.

I have tried chewing ginger gum the last few trips and it has definitely helped. Even gets me through TOT and Expedition Everest but once only for both.

Interesting info on ginger. I will need try to a double rye and ginger next trip before EE
