Just wondering if anyone has visited any non disney resorts & points needed? Thank you.

WE tried the Woodstock Inn in VErmont. It was excellent and was 26 points per night. I am considering trying the Claremont Resort in Berkely California.

We stayed at the Whitehall in downtown Chicago last summer on points. It was a first class hotel and there were no problems with our ressies. Of course, after feeding your family for a couple of days in downtown Chicago, you realize that the prices at WDW are not that bad. Seriously.

We just spent 5 nights in a luxury king room at the Jefferson in DC for 155 points. It was wonderful!

Check the Kapalua Bay REsort Report on this board. It is about as positive a report on exchanges as I have ever read!

My family has stayed twice on points at Big Cedar Lodge, just south of Branson, MO. Number of points depends on type of accomodations, one or two bedroom cabin or lodge room. Great place to stay, with or without doing the Branson thing.

We stayed at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island and had a great time!

My wife & I stayed at the Plaza Hotel in NY last November. We had a great experience. The hotel is very luxurious and very expensive when paying cash! We used 110 points for a weekend (Fri & Sat night). The room rate was $650 PER NIGHT!! I think it was a pretty good deal! Furthermore, we didn't know this when we got there, but we were there the weekend that Michael Douglas got married to Catherine Zeta-Jones. Needless to say, when ran into many movie/music stars!

We are also staying at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, MI, this September. We are taking my mom for her retirement. I've never been to the hotel, but have been to the Island many times. I think it's also 110 points for the weekend, which includes meals. I can't wait to go!!

Interval exchanges will generally be the same points as OKW for Adventure, Dream or Magic season for the same size unit as you request or the smallest unit size you will accept at your destination. If you only need a 1 BR but the resort only has 2 BR units, it will cost you 2 BR. If the resort has both and your request a 1 BR, it will cost you 2 BR points if they offer it to you as an immediate match but only 1 BR points cost if you match an ongoing search.
