Non Disney Theme Park Prices

Well it has to be apples to oranges. WDW is Florida and has to be the orange. Tender, juices, squirt all over the face with flavor and excitement. Bring a smile to anyone's face when you make the rind your smile and inhale the whole quarter.
Ya I would compare it apples to oranges, for the same price bring on the oranges.:sunny:

I live in VA not to far from Kings Dominion in Richmond. They have great coasters and a water park....but no magic.

We went to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA this summer and paid $70 per person for a seven day ticket good for both Busch Gardens and Water Country USA. We spent 2 1/2 days between the two parks. They had a Food & Wine Festival (weekends only) that was very similar to Disney's. We found the park to be very family friendly and clean. Kids (13 and 11) loved the coasters. The food looked unimpressive so other than F&W we ate outside the park. We got a refillable mug for something like $14 that had free refills the day of purchase and 99 cent refills other days. Definitely way more reasonably priced than Disney and lots of fun, but in no way does it replace our Disney trips! We've also done Kings Island in Cincy and Cedar Point, and the kids love the rides but there's not too much for those of us that don't do big coasters. Price wise they are somewhere between Busch Gardens and WDW.

Just returned from a 3 night stay at Dollywood's new resort Dreammore. You can get rooms there for about $160 plus tax with the AP discount. Included in the room price is a shuttle to both Dollywood parks and their FP system to Dollywood for free. The FP system is only $25 per person per day (not very expensive), and it allowed my teens to ride the big thrill rides over and over with little to no wait.

We purchased one AP for $150 and 6 three day tickets that were about $80 per person with the Dreammore discount. Very, very reasonably priced tickets.

Dollywood is no Disneyworld, but it is very clean, the workers are very friendly and they have some great thrill rides. The water park has the best water coaster I have ever ridden. The Dreammore is on par with most DVC resorts - it was very, very well done and is affordable for average families.

Wow! DMIL lives in Gurnee, and whenever we go by the theme park and see that roller coaster, we say "We should go there sometime." But I think that at those prices, "sometime" isn't so soon! Thanks for the report-I always wondered how WDW's prices compare.
