What are they like? Crazy busy?

Just about the busiest, craziest time of the year.

For example Universal does 3,000 to 5,000 per day
the week before and 12,000 to 16,000 that week.

I think I'll wait till after the holidays. That does not sound like fun to me.

I will be in LA on Sat Jan 3rd 2009 and Sun Jan 4th 2009. My DH and I want to go to Disneyland one day, and Universal the other.

Any advice for which one to go to on each day? Crowds?

That first weekend after NYE will be more crowded than
the 10/11 - but much less crowded than 1st and 2nd.
Both places will be crowded on Saturday and less so on
Sunday. Since Universal is more manageable on crowded
days I suggest Universal on Saturday and Disney on Sunday.

To bad you can't move things by one day. Typically Disney
is very slow the Monday after the NYE weekend. And
Universal will be empty.
