I've asked before but some of the non-Disney restaurants I used to go to - I will not be going this time (preferences by members of my family has changed and Race Rock has closed).

Any suggestions for non-disney restaurants (mostly dinner)?

- PF Changs - SIL doesn't want any more;
- Race Rock - closed
- NBA City (City Walk) - heard it was voted best theme restaurant;
- Angel's Sea Food Buffet - some people think its bad - some decent - my family seems to like it - I'm not crazy about it.

Kinda of lost here and running out of time - please help with any suggestions - we have DS3 and DS4 and want something really decent. Thanks.

My husband insists we visit Charley's Steakhouse every visit. They do have excellent quality steaks, without a doubt. We also enjoy Shula's as well.

I like Roy's (on Sand Lake Road west of I-4), and I like the Cheesecake Factory at Mall at Millenia (not to mention the window shopping!).

we had a great meal at the Black Angus Steakhouse.

the food was good, the service was excellent and NO disney crowd after a long fun day in the park!

We had a great meal at Columbia in Celebration. We also like LoneStar for steak-we don't have one at home.

The Melting Pot in Dr. Phillips (on Sand Lake). Ruth's Chris in the same area. Season's 52 (although they aren't necessarily thrilled with having children there) again, same area.

Actually, there are many nice choices in that immediate area.

Cafe Tu Tu Tango on International Drive, next to the purple "castle" hotel that I can never remember the name of

Please keep those suggestions coming! :thumbsup2

Thanks to everyone who responded - we will certainly look into them. :banana:

On I-drive: Salt Island for fish, Ming Court lunch for very cheap but highly tasty dishes (they also have dim sum), the aforementioned cafe tu tu tango for making a meal out of appetizers.

Picky kids should visit the Mcdonald's Bistro on Sand Lake at I-drive. It's a regular McD with a second upscale menu (think cheesesteak sandwiches or panini) and a nice big playground indoors. There's another bistro over by Universal.

I love me some Carrabbas for great tasy Italian food (and too much of it). There's one on 192, and a new one over by the Mary Church on the east of I-4.

Instead of Denny's, a similar but more locally-flavored eatery would be Cracker Barrell. Better atmosphere, reasonable prices. Heavy food, though.

NBA City is a great place to eat..the food is very good.

Angels, used to be very good, but is pretty nasty now.

Ming Court, Charleys Steakhouse, Bahama Breeze...all wonderful.

Timpano's on Sandlake http://www.crww.com/timpano/

Also, my parents swear by Bone Fish on Sandlake as well - bang bang shrimp.

For really good lebanese go to Cedars on Sandlake....Just basically go to Sandlake in Dr. Phillips and pick somewhere...they're all good!:thumbsup2
