My fiancé and I are eloping 5 weeks!:scared1: It came fast.
Since we are not inviting any guests we want to throw a party/reception at home when we get back. The whole point of eloping is to not have to stress over all the wedding planning, so we want something fun and casual (and inexpensive). Any suggestions? We are talking 80-100 people and I really want to have a DJ and dance so a house is out.

I was thinking just a basic hall, but I have no idea how to find one. I have been looking for them and they just aren't listed anywhere. Anyone know how to find a hall? We live just north of Washington DC in Maryland.

CHECK UNDER CLUBS OR ORGANIZATIONS
try local community centers, elks llodge, moose club, knights of columbus etc

If know someone in the industry I would ask them. A lot of vendors have other vendors they suggest. Have you looked at wedding websites for help on halls??? theknot.com, ourweddingday.com, brides.com, weddingchannel.com, the list goes on and on. Check out your cities website. They probably have a lot of info for tourists about hotels that all have halls.

You could try looking under banquet halls, catering and golf courses. Golf courses usually have some sort of facility. :)
