non disney hats for newlywed B/G??

Hi! I am leaving for disneyworld in 25 days for our HM. I had wanted to ask about good honeymoon things and also if disney "prefers" you to wear the disney ears or headband for bride and groom or if other hats are ok too. I know they can't say one way or anthoer but I wanted to know from people's experience going to disneyworld on their HM...I have two denim "just married" hats and the Disney Bride and Groom Mickey minnie pins to put on the hats...I wanted the mouse ears headband but just couldn't $$ and i know FI won't wear the top hat

Just looking for advice and input I guess!

Believe me I know where you are coming from. My FH will not wear the Mickey Top Hat for love or money - I'm forcing him too for the Rehearsal as we're having that videoed by Stan at STVS.

So I'm getting him the Groom baseball cap in black and he'll wear that and his pin when I wear my Minnie ear head band - it's showing a little willing - I'm sure the CM's will have a joke about it

Man, you have to wear the top hat and the bridal ears. We pre-ordered ours off of ebay and wore them down *on the plane*. It was so cool. *everyone* says congratulations to you and you get so many "perks". At CRT breakfast we got free champagne flutes. We got so many "Magical Memories" certificates and we even got a pass to re-ride test track through the exit (i.e. no lineup).

They look dorky, but it really makes it a magical time. We were there for 7 nights on our honeymoon and wore them every day! By the end of the trip I actually had a line on my forehead where the top hat was sitting as it was irritating me.

thanks all!! guess what though-my friend got me the headband for minnie!! I am so excited. I might just pick up the mickey one when we get there for DH but I am so excited to wear the headband!

I know what you mean Stuart but to be honest if Paul isn't comfortable wearing it I wouldn't want him to. The Baseball cap will work just as well and I'll be happy to wear my headband with Paul by my side. Every trip we've ever had to Disney has always been magical so it won't make any difference to us either way as long as we're together and having a great time that's all that counts
