I would also highly recommend Grove Park Inn. I was there for a conference and the room was awesome, the food was superb, the views were great and we had a blast white water rafting nearby on the famous river which I can't remember at this moment. It was a great trip and I'd go back in a second.

I have made plans to go to the Woodstock Inn in Vermont for next Month (March 2001). I gave them 4 sets of dates so I am fairly flexible. DVC promised an answer by Feb 6th regarding availability. So this will be my first test of the
system, or maybe just a test of my luck. I have 2 friends who have been DVC Members for years and they rate the Woodstock Inn highly. If you check the members web site, or just search online you will find most of the non-DVC resorts are rated very highly by nationally recognized travel groups. For example the Woodstock Inn is listed as a 4 star AAA resort, listed in Conde Nast Gold list and in the Small Luxury Hotels of the World Guide. I have stayed in Bermuda and Sedona at 2 other resorts and if the Woodstock Inn even comes close it should be fantastic. Hope this helps.

Note: The resort in Bermuda (Pink BEach Club) and the resort in Sedona (Enchantment Resort) were not offered by DVC but they were rated highly by Conde Nast and AAA so Disney's inclusion of the Woodstock Inn on their list indicates that it should be a top notch resort.

I'm sure it was just a typo but 300 pouns = $440, not $340 dollars!

THe Dorchester is a great Hotel in a great location. You are right across from Hyde Park, a short walk to the shops on oxford street and if you miss the American food you are like 3 minutes from the origional Hard Rock. In fact you are close to so much, Buck Palcace, Kennsington. The list goes on.
