Non-Disney costume for MNSSHP???

This year will be our first MNSSHP and my daughter (8) is set with her Disney costume, but my son (4) wants to be Superman. Are all costumes Disney related? Do we need to do a "super mickey"?

I'm sure Superman would be fine-with the recent movie out he probably won't be the only one!

Two years ago we were there with a friend who decided to be Scooby-doo and during the late parade Cruella deVille called to him from her float. She said "come here scooby i like great danes too." we all got a good laugh.

The costumes can be anything your heart desires. While many many costumes are Disney related, just as many are not. LY, I want as a fireman (in full turnout gear!), DW went as a Red Sox player, DD went as and egyptian princess, DS went as a pirate DB went as a Doctor and DN went as Cindy.

1.5 of our costumes were Disney related, I got more reaction as the FF than anyone else. (and more candy)

There was a wonderful story someone posted about going to the party dressed as Harry Potter. It was SO FUNNY, but I don't remember what board it was on!

He is four - let him dress up in what he wants. Don't think they will turn you away.

Enjoy the experience, it is very fun. Even for two adults, no kids, and not much of a costume.

My kids had been Disney characters every Halloween UNTIL our 2002 MNSSHP. DD decided to be Dorothy from the Wizard of OZ and DS was a dinosaur. DD has been a Disney character every year since then This year for the MNSSHP she wants to be Kim Possible (the cheerleader version) and DS thinks he wants to be either a pirate or Mr. Incredible. I am suprising DD with a trip to Bibbidi Bobbidi Botique on her birthday (Halloween) so she may end up getting a different costume there.
