Because of varying eating habits and tastes, we're not doing the dining plan for our extended family trip in Nov/Dec. Since we've ejoyed the dining plan and have added it for every trip we've taken, I've never really given much thought to restaurants that don't accept the plan.

So, tell me about your favorite non dining plan restaurants around Disney property. We're staying at BCV, so the restaurants at the S/D are of particular interest, but I'd love to hear about them all!

Rainforest Cafe (DTD & AK) and T-Rex (DTD) are not on the plan. Been to RC and it was good as explected (we eat at one in So FL). Never been to T-Rex.

blue zoo is wonderful! I always do the dining plan so I have never been- but maybe someday!

Yes, bluezoo is great. We also liked Il Mulino. Another fantastic place to eat is Bistro de Paris upstairs in France at Epcot (easy walk from BC). It's not on the dining plan and has no children's menu and it's elegant and fairly upscale atmosphere that is mainly adults. That's always our last meal of every trip and we are usually there for about 3 hours having a wonderful meal, sharing a great bottle of wine.

I've never eaten at Shula's at the Dolphin because they have live lobsters (an issue for me) but many dissers have posted rave reviews about the steaks there.
