My DH and I are planning to be in AK this Saturday night. We were hoping to visit the Nomad Lounge around 7:00 or 8:00. Anyone know how crowded it might be? Should we be prepared to wait to find seating?

I want to know the same thing. It was our favorite empty place in the fall. I'm afraid now that Pandora is open it will be "discovered."

We went opening weekend of Pandora.
It was crowded, more than on any past trips but we go seating.
Problem is, staff isn't quite up to speed on how to deal with crowds and service was really, really bad..
We'd eaten at Tiffin's on Saturday and service there was as good as always. We spoke with the manager and he said they had more reservations than they'd had since they opened. So the restaurant side was doing fine. Just the bar side was struggling. They didn't have enough staff and the staff there was not particularly good at what they were doing either.
The food was as good as always but it took us an hour and a half for our food and we got 1 beer. Server never came back to bring more

I am so glad I stumbled upon this thread. I was going to try and stop in for a quick bite. I just made a Tiffins ADR instead.

That's disappointing! Maybe we will skip it this trip until they figure things out.

I am not sure it will take that long for them to figure out how to handle the increased crowds. I was there in December and this lovely lounge was close to empty, as was the restaurant. If the restaurant is adjusting to the increased guests, the lounge will not be that far behind.

We've been there the last two weekends for at least 4-6 visits as it is a nice cool place to recharge between FP+ and shows and prior to a couple of Tiffin's dinners. I didn't have any server issues except the one bartender handed me the drink menu and then stared at me until I placed my order, despite me saying, "I'll be a minute." She did this twice the first weekend (and she didn't remember us at all) but she was quick. We then went in for the wings and ribs for a quick lunch and the wings were really, really good. The ribs were also good but we had Hoop de doo the night before and they were better.

They were training a new person this past weekend so hopefully it will get better. I was surprised that it wasn't more crowded and I hope it stays that way.

We've gone to Nomad Lounge a few times before Pandora opened and honestly found it to have consistently slower than average service with what appeared to be a less-than-experienced waitress staff even then. The lounge is such a beautiful oasis with really great quality cocktails and small plates that we put up with it. I can't help it. I just like the place. And thanks to Nomad Lounge, I now know how incredibly more exillerating it is to ride EE afterward.

Yes. My DH's and my EE ride photo post numerous beverages makes me chuckle.

I have worried that the proximity to Pandora will make Nomad Lounge more of a destination, and that makes me sad as I love that place.

Nomad lounge is definitely more crowded than it used to be but it is still always possible to get a seat. Just outdoor seating isn't always available. I hope the Lounge and Tiffins will stay that way. I love those places.
