noisy room

We have booked a 4 day cruise in April. My wife noticed that our room #6064 is next to the elevator. Does anyone know if the rooms next to the elevators are noisy? We have little kids and are wondering if the you can hear people outside waiting for the elevator, moving luggage in and out etc. Has anyone stayed in these rooms before?

We had room 2560 next to the elevator...no noise...or very little. I loved our location near the elevator and hopefull next time we will also get one near it.

I have not been on the cruise yet, so I can't speak from personal experience, but I did want to tell you that we are near the elevators too and Dave's DCL Tribute site says that he has not had any reports by people staying in the rooms near the elevators that they were noisy!

I am also, however, in an adjoining stateroom and have heard those to hear everything from the connecting room. I have been trying to switch it with Disney for almost 7 mos.- with no luck.

I am hoping that it will be fine though! Enjoy your cruise in April and if I find out differently about the noise I'll let you know in February when we return!

I can reply without hesitation that your stateroom adjacent to, or nearby elevators, will not be noisy...In fact, this location is a great convenience....especially when you are lugging things (or little ones)....

Both times we have sailed we had rooms next to the elevators. You will not hear anymore noise than usual, IMO. We stayed in 6056 and 6558. The one good thing about these rooms, were that we were only one flight up the stairs from the kids clubs so it was not that bad to carry a sleeping child from the club to the room. We were hoping to get one of these rooms for our next cruise in October, but they were both taken. We are a little further down the hall this time.
