Noisy neighbours!

A group of teenage boys are having a huge party next door tonight! Bearing in mind that I live in a quiet suburban area I have to say I am SO annoyed right now. DS is 9 mos and not sleeping through the night so sleep is a precious commodity and right now these selfish so-and-so's are doing my nut in!! I even rang the local police station to see if they could call and ask them to keep it down (after both DH and I asking several times already only to be laughed at!) and the police woman who answered said theres nothing they can do and to just try to sleep!! As I said above I'm just so annoyed!! I'm sorry, just had to vent before I explode!!!

As its after 11pm surely the police can act upon it..give them another ring now

Speak to the parents when they get back. We had a problem with our next door neighbour, not so much the son but some of his friends. Spoke to his mum and haven't had a problem since.

When DH and I lived in our first place together we had a terrible neighbour. He was trouble child his parents split and neither could cope with him so they bought him a flat basically so they didn't have to.

He would play music for days on end. DH and I would fight like crazy because if being so tired and so stressed with having just bought some where and hated living there.

We both used to go round all the time one Sunday we went round and he was so off his face on god knows what he could barely talk.

We rang the police and they said they couldn't do anything unless they threatened us or had the music playing outside. Useless rang the council and we were given recording equipment and had to record it every time the noise happened. We also had to log down when it was and how long it went on for

Well before we got any information back from the council the boy died of a drug over dose. Nice lad!

We booked our wedding the day after.

I eventually put the music on my sons monitor on loud, it plays waves crashing and soothed me to sleep thankfully! Netty you would think the cops could do something but all they did was call to the house and ask them to keep it down - they didn't pay any heed, in fact it got louder!! No parents there again today so I'll check again tomorrow, I mean I have no issue with them having a party or whatever, they're entitled but they had their patio doors open all night with the music blaring!! I shouted over our wall at them to keep quiet at one stage and the noise was so loud they didn't even hear me for ages! Woah Tinks that guy sounds like a right gem - not! Sleep deprivation would make you nuts alright - but strangely enough after DS was so unsettled with the noise til about 11ish he didn't wake then til 7.30 this morning! Ended up being his latest ever lie in!!

Well its never happened before and theres no noise tonight thankfully!! I'm hoping it was a once off! I really don't want to have to go over there and rant at the parents over it, I was their age not so long ago lol! I suppose its easier to be calm about it tonight seeing as the street is silent!
