Noise reduction in your hotel!

Silicone ear plugs! My ears don't hold normal-sized foam plugs, they are too open (plugs expand and still have wiggle room) but silicone plugs fit snugly and cut out almost all sound. Hair needs to be pulled back to not get stuck in the silicone, but that's the only drawback. Tip: CVS brand is better than Mack's. They last longer by holding their stickiness better.

I take a small fan with me on trips. Its fits in my suitcase, not easily.... but its worth it. Shop for a cheap small one. Try them out and gewt the loudest one there is. Works for me!

Ear plugs. We've stayed recently at the Quality Inn on Manchester which is right by the 5 freeway. And we've been in the room closest to the freeway. The freeway noise doesn't bother me. But I sleep with earplugs because my husband always snores after a long day at Disneyland! :love2:

I find that a bottle or wine or a couple of beers at the end of the night work perfectly for adults, luckily our kids will sleep through anything

We take a white noise machine with us when we travel as a family, or use a white noise app on a phone. Always works well.

Years ago, my husband put the sound of a fan on my mp3 player so I use that at hotels. I also request the top floor. On our last trip (Desert Inn) we only had loudness our last night when noisy people 'moved in' in the middle of the night and proceeded to yell. They also repeated tried to open the adjoining door. Scared the bejeebus out of me to hear the door knob rattling in the middle of the night.
