noise on deck 2

Just wondering if anyone has stayed in any of the aft cabins on Deck 2? What's the noise level??? Thanks for your responses.

Also, is the excursion to Pinel Island on St. Maartin any good?
What about the See & Sea?

We stayed in 2584 and the only noise we heard was the loading/unloading of things below deck. Nothing we couldn't have lived with. Didn't really wake us up -- kids never even noticed it. We have stayed on Deck 7 and it was quieter but I don't know if I would pay the extra money for the higher deck again. There's good and bad either way.

Actually we have stayed on deck 2 and really did not notice any noise - guess we were all so worn out by the end of the days we just fell into bed sound asleep. Are staying on deck 2 again this time. We have cruised 3 times (only 1 time on Disney) and LOVE the lower decks - will always stay "down there".

I have stayed in 2104, 2604 and 2142-love deck 2 aft, wouldn't stay anywhere else. Just some noise from the engines, but nothing loud-kind of like the humming of a ceiling fan. All of the restaurants are aft-they're just a few stairs away. Only foot traffic is those with cabins on deck 2. The aft elevators are easier to get. There's laundry on deck 2 aft-ish. When you go ashore for excursions you leave/reenter on deck 1, so you only have to go up 1 flight of stairs to get to your cabin-everyone else is pooped and waiting for the elevators. Had 1 night of rough seas on our 1st cruise, I felt less movement on deck 2 than the higher decks.

We have room 2073 reserved for our Nov cruise. I had Dave's list of quieter rooms when I booked back in Dec.
