I think I may have my my husband convinced again of the benefits of staying @ the Fort. He is running out of what ifs. LOL He loves camping but has many worries about things that could ruin our trip. I told him if it looks like rain for that week in December then we can upgrade to a value resort. We will be tenting if all goes well. One of the things he is worried about is noise level. We tent in the summer and sometimes we encounter rude people that want to party till all hours of the night. I told him that I can't imagine Disney allowing that there but he still asked me to see about noise levels. What has been your experience?

As long as you're not in the site next to mine, noise shouldn't be an issue.

Actually, we have had few if any problems with neighbors and noise - generally people are pretty tired after a day at WDW. You can hear the boat whistles, the train at MK, the EWP, the singalong and movie, and the busses if you are near the main road or a bus stop, but that has never really bothered us much and most of the noise stops pretty early especially that time of year.

Hi, and welcome. When we were there last month it was awesome, never, NEVER had any problems with noise. It really is different from any other campground you have ever been too. Other campgrounds, you have people there to party and drink, and cause problems. The fort is full of families, and people with a common interest, WDW, and family fun.

It was so quiet after dark, that you could hear a Mickey Mouse F@rt a mile away.... :lmao:

Sit back relax and have some fun, and welcome again.

There are some sounds that you'll hear around the Fort, but if they are a concern, you can plan accordingly. For example, request a site far away from a bus stop. To avoid water pageant sounds, look for a loop closer to Meadow trading post. We've never encountered late night partying. Besides, you'll be so tired at the end of a disney day that you could probably sleep like a baby anyhow!

Btw, I sure don't consider a value resort an upgrade ;) They also tend to be very noisey and overrun with teens! :rotfl:

in all the times we have been there ... once was some one being noisey [partying hard] and it was about 8-9 pm it was maybe 20 minutes later security came by and it quieted down. at night you may get the ocassional happy family discussing their great day a little loud as they pass by, but I hear that at the resorst too. especially if they are above you coming in late. I would rather be at the Fort. you will be tired enough to sleep thru most anything anyway.

LOL, thanks for the welcome. Last time I was on this section it was the same....everyone was so nice!!;)

What is the water pageant? Is it continous (sp?) water sounds? If so I would find it very relaxing, where would be the closest site to that? Thank you all.

The water pagent is a few barges decorated with lights that pass on Bay Lake....only lasts a very short time, music plays as it passes.

Wow, what an oversimplification. The EWP is several barges strung together, pulled into position by a boat and sit stationary while music plays and lights on the barges form appropriate animation to the music. The whole show lasts maybe 20 minutes or so.

It's funny...there is "noise" in the evening but it's welcome noise to us. Like other's have said, you'll hear the boat whistle, the water pageant on Bay Lake passing by the Fort, the fireworks from MK exploding over Cinderella's castle etc etc. For us, these are all reminders of where we are and why we are there. I love waking up in the morning and hearing the sound of the boat whistle. Or when we turned in early, we could hear the fireworks over Cindy's castle exploding (which you can also watch from the marina area). I'm so excited to get there and hear these sounds....2 days and we arrive at the Fort!!!

I'm glad you and your dh have decided to experience the Fort..I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!! :goodvibes

LOL.....did I write the abridged version?

The only noise we had was from the bus stop since it was right behind us.

Ah, now the thread is back on track...hahaha.:rotfl:

We didn't experience bus noise, but we were not that close to a stop.
