Aww, happy anniversary LL and Marc! I remember eating our cake on our anniversary but don't really remember much about it. I guess it wasn't TOO bad!

did any of you hear the Iowa news this morning? (I am watching it on CBS right now) I local football coaching legend was shot yesterday morning by a former player. This guy is well-known for an awesome record and the highest per capita of players making the NFL in the country. He was central in helping their town recover and rebuild from an F5 tornado last year. The kid who killed him had been taken to the hospital on Sunday for a psychiatric evaluation. The hospital was supposed to notify the police when he was ready to be released but that somehow wasn't done.

It's just a terrible tragedy.

I promise I am done being the downer at this party! Today I have decided that I wasn't meant to get that teaching job and am moving forward. There are 2 jobs at my university that I think I will apply for and hope for the best!

Katie what a sad story...I will keep that town and the family of the coach in our prayers, things like that just really break your heart don't they. As far as the teaching job, you are right it wasn't meant to be and I know you will find something you love and will strive with it.

Well today is another day at home (YAY) I'm going to go ride miles on our new stationary bike and then be a little productive with getting some things around here straightened out LOL!!

I don't know. I'm not very good at hair. I've always been afraid of a perm but I do think curls would look pretty on you. Do you like your hairdresser? Could you ask him/her? Sometimes different products make a difference?

I am getting my hair done tomorrow - but I get the same style over and over again. I'm just growing it longer. Boring!

Thanks C! I don't really have a hairdresser. I have never found anyone that I truly love. Marc's aunt is a hairdresser so he put in a call to her to ask her and to see if it's something she could do. Mom told me that I got one a few years ago but I don't remember. She said she didn't think they let it set long enough because it didn't last long...probably why I don't remember.

I'm sick My throat is on fire and I can't hear out of my right ear....and then what do I do? Take a shift for one of the girls at work who is sick - big mistake! Now I feel completely craptastic. And to make the day even better there was a tornado about 20 mins outside the city today The storms seem to have passed over us now though and it's supposed to clear up overnight. Yuck!

Paula - You will still be a gnomie no matter what!! And Alison is an amazing gymnast and I'm sure she loves you a zillion billion million times for taking so much time to help her. You are a great mom! And even if it turns out that you can't make it for Gnomefest I'm sure we can all plan something else!

LL - Congratulations to you and Marc!! One year down and a lifetime more! Enjoy your icing, I think the thumbprint is a nice touch of character from your life together! I think it's super sweet! You guys are very lucky

Katie - sounds like Greg's sister has her head on straight about the whole thing, I'm sure things will work out just fine. I'm sorry to hear about the job, but everything happens for a reason. It just means something better is out there waiting for you!

Hey girls!

busy day here today. Took Daniel to camp and Patrick to the library for storytime then ran some errands, picked Patrick up and ran more errands, came home and made lunch then took the boys downtown to see "Bucket Boys" (a low budget version of STOMP), came home and picked up the house then took a quick nap, made dinner then my parents came over, went to Patrick's last T-ball game, came home to eat and celebrate Patrick's birthday, put the kids to bed and then....AHHHHHHH, checked to see how all my gnomies are today.
