Hey Gnomies!! My how I have missed you. We just pulled in from my parents, so I may have to update tomorrow, but here's the jist of it. We got to Myrtle Beach around 3:30 on sunday, no problems at all, took a 1/2 hour shortcut that my parents found. Get to check in, they say our reservations are cancelled, from when we changed dates from the fires, we went nuts for a few, but the lady got it straightened out and even upgraded us, we had a great view all the way down the coast, on the 17th floor and we got to see the marshes from our living and bedroom view. The weather was touch and go, kinda windy, kinda rainy, but it was relaxing. Tuesday was our 5 year anniversary, and I got burned, of course the day that we were getting our massages...btw, HEAVEN on a table!

We had paid for a breakfast buffet ahead of time, so Blake got up early every morning, went downstairs and across the pier to fish from about 7 to 10 every morning, then my lazy butt woke up, met him for breakfast, then he went back on the pier and I laid in the sun and read. We cooked most of the time, but went out to my favorite local Mexican place and bbq place, went shopping, all and all...can't believe it's over already, but it was nice!

The ride home though...UGH! We left at 9am..I wanted to leave a little earlier of course, because we had to pick up Riley by 5pm, when the vet closed. We get to about somewhere on 95 in Virginia, and BAM...dead stopped...well ok...unfortunately our little hold up made us get stuck in the friday work traffic in northern virginia and DC traffic...and we were stuck for about 2 hours. By this point, we're about an hour from our place and it's 3:30, so we had a 1/2 hour to play around with. Well, the traffic starts moving and then we hit something again and I'm watching the time tick by, and we're 12 miles out with about 20 minutes left, moving very very slowly. I try calling my friend up the street but she's stuck in 495 traffic as well coming back from volunteering at the Washington Zoo, so I call the vet to see if they can stick around and give us 10 minutes, because I knew that we would be cutting it close. The lady tells me no, they all leave by 5, but I was hoping that she would be nice and at least give us the 10 minutes. So, it's 4:55 and we're still about 10 miles out and I know we're not going to make it, so of course me, I start crying because I want to get the dog. We pull into the vets at 5:08 and they're all gone. Blake feels so bad, he runs around the building because he sees a car and the vet tech is still there and thankfully is able to get her boss on the phone and tell her how to charge my credit card and she gives us Riley. She was super upset because she said normally they do wait! I mean I can understand if it's like an hour difference, but we were 8 minutes late and had drove 8 hours to get there and they could have waited, but thank goodness she was there! And thankfully we were able to get our stuff together and head to my parents for the weekend!
C-Definitely check out Sookie! If anything you will love the character herself! LOVE the PTR title, can't wait until you get started on it!
CP-I got book 9 today! I remember you saying earlier when I was around book 5 that I hadn't hit your favorite character, is it Amelia? I really like her too! It'll probably take me until about Tuesday night or Wednesday to finish it, but I'll let you know!
LL-The wedding sounded awesome! So glad you had a great time and Marc decided to cut you off when he did! It can definitely count as practice for WDW!

Katie-Glad you hear you went to the Imax with Patrick! We went one time to see Beowolf and of course Blake's family picked to sit in the front row...god, I nearly died! I think the worst parts were the bouncing (men riding horses) or the vertigo when they were going down the side of the castle. Now I saw a Deep Sea 3D one once and they desended very gently into the ocean and I didn't get sick from that one! I'll go vote number 2 tomorrow for our ADR's and let you know what the decision was!

JJ, MM, P, Julez-Hope your weekend went well!
