Oh girls, I had a miserable day! I prep for a Bug class on Tuesdays and my lab professor "Ron" told me that he forgot to get Hard Candy from the store that they were using as a scensory simulation today. I looked over at the bookstore, mostly because I didn't want to have to lose my parking spot and drive down the street to get it. But of course, the bookstore didn't have it, so I got in my car and headed to CVS. I am incredibly sore still today from my competitive badminton tournament on sunday and I was watching this lady walk into the store and I thought to myself, man I hope I don't feel like this all the time when I'm old, because I had noticed that the lady was kind of walking side to side into the store. So it takes me a while to get across the parking lot, but I get to the 1st set of automatic doors and I see the lady at the display right in front of the doors looking at easter cards. I get to the 2nd set of doors and all of a sudden the lady, in a standing position falls straight back and lands on her back and her head hits the ground right in front of my feet.
I am completely taken back, and she starts gurgling and the cashiers finally see what's going on, I pull out my cell, call 911 and tell them to get the paramedics here (we were almost directly across the street from the hospital). A lady nearby who is CPR trained gets the lady awake and starts talking to her and gets her into a sitting position. The paramedics come in, they check her out, vitals normal and she refuses treatment. She must be in her mid 70's. She said she was going through chemo, and they couldn't get her husband on the phone. She had a huge knot in the back of her head and it was bleeding a little and the medics kept telling her that she needs to call her doctors immediately and tell them that she fell, she said she would get to it this week...

All I could think about was the Natasha Richardson accident and I've been so out of it all day, thinking about that woman. Hopefully she takes it seriously and does call her doctor or her husband calls after he hears the message that CVS left. I definitely needed a drink tonight, and I'm trying to chill out with Blake tonight, but it's just been a crappy day ever since
