Nobby's Gnomies... heading to WDW in April 2010

Any other nominations for official events? How many are we going to try for? I don't think we should overplan but 1 or 2 each day is good if we add in things like Paula's gamenight and the photo scavenger hunt at Epcot (although how fun of a day would it be to to plan on going Soarin' at rope drop together, lunch at Chef's, have a WS scavenger hunt in the afternoon and finish with gamenight. If Paula chooses Beach Club, I would definitely vote for a late dinner at B&C...cheeseburgers, onion rings and a No Way Jose - OK, now I'm hungry)
A perfect day indeed!!!!:woohoo:

Good Evening Gnomies.

I am so exhausted. I barely slept last night, I really think it was anxiety. It was awful. Today was the day of hurry up and wait. The cat transporting wasn't the best. Ruby was literally foaming at the mouth towards the end of the ride. I think she worked herself up so much and she was licking herself like crazy. It was bad. I felt like the Worlds Worst Mumma as that is how I refer to myself. LOL. Anyhoo! I get to the new apartment and put the cats in the bathroom with their food, water and litter box. When the movers were finally done I had to coax Ruby out. Then she hid for about 4 hours. Poor baby. Sully is doing okay but I think he was in the confined space with Ruby for too long because anytime she comes nears he growls at her.

The new apartment is AWESOME. Truly it is. Way bigger than our old place. We have unpacked a fair amount but everything is kind willy nilly all over the place. Marc let me take a nap for about an hour and I love him for it but he went unpacking crazy and just kinda threw stuff everywhere so now I am kinda organizing it. I adore our balcony and sliding glass door in the living room. We have a tree right in front of it too so when it fills out this summer we will have some nice shade and a bit more privacy. Pictures will hopefully be up tomorrow night or Sunday.

Thanks for all the well wishes, I thought of you many times today and how I wished I could have enticed you all with some champagne to come help me unpack! :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

YAY LL is back!!!! :yay:

SO glad the move went alright for the most part! Our turn is in August/September and I am NOT looking forward to it, especially now that we have acquired so much stuff!
Hope the kitties are doing much better..poor babies!!

Next move for you LL, we'll see if we're all located in the south by that point and that champagne may come in handy :upsidedow

Moving is really awful. I told Marc we are staying here longer than a year. LOL. I need the moving memories to fade. I did quite enjoy using a moving company though, I have no idea how we would have gotten all of that stuff up here without them.

The kitties are out and exploring so I think they are doing better. I haven't seen Ruby eat yet but Sully has. Once we started opening up boxes and they "smelled home" they were a lot less anxious.

One thing I am really mad about is that I can't find my shower curtain hooks! I know I bought new ones when I bought the new bathroom rugs but they are no where to be found. I haven't been able to hang my Mickey shower curtain yet, I am so bummed out! Luckily we had our old shower curtain that has ties so we just tied it the pole so we could take showers. I can't escape that Asian print shower curtain. :rotfl2:

Ok... so I've had a busy day as well.

We FINALLY got our refund! And I paid off 2 big balances..... paid 6 mos advance of our car insurance w/a new company and saved almost $300 on our 6 mo. premiums!! Those 3 things save us $306/mo in payments!!!

AND my husband lost his mind and gave in to FREEEEE DINING!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::banana::banana::banana::banana::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::yay::yay::yay:

I'm crazy excited and jumping on this before he can change his mind!!! :lmao:

The biggest reason is because he wants to buy a "project bike" so I said if he did that then me & Rachael we're GOING! And he said "How much would it be to add me and Ebin?" and I found out it would only be $100 more and TA-DA!!!

We're going Sept. 23rd through the 27th. We'll be doing MNSSHP on the 25th. One of the water parks on the 26th. My BIRTHDAY will be on the 24th and I'll use my free admission at Epcot and we'll probably do arrival night at WS! This was just born today and I've already got the days planned! :lmao:

LL, I'm SOOO excited that your move is complete and you LOVE your new place!!

Katie, I AM so wanting to start planning Gnomefest! I'm just beyond the moon that we're at the 1 yr mark and I can't contain it!!!

Everyone else: I'm too excited and over the moon happy to think clearly and know what's going on with anyone else! :rotfl2:But I love you all and hope you have a FANTASTIC weekend!!

Oh Julez! I am so happy for you!!! Have you booked a package yet? Where are you staying? Details Girl!!

I'm booking AS I TYPE!!

We'll do Pop for our first on property stay! Or should I pick movies? Uh-oh! What do I do? Pop or Movies? The kids would love Pop but I think they would love Movies too! Oh.... I'll do Pop and we'll hop over and tour ASMo. Sounds like a plan!

Sounds like a fun plan Julez!!! SO excited for you!!! Doing a little happy dance for you myself!!! ;) Oh how I hope to book our Free Dining trip REALLY soon!!!! The anticipation is KILLING ME!!!!!

Girls, Thanks again for all your prayers for my Mom.....she really is doing well!

LL---can't wait to see your pics of the new place.....I'm all giddy with excitement!!!

YAY JULEZ!! How awesome is that!!? :woohoo:

Congrats on paying off all of your other expenses too!

I'm so happy and tired I could implode!

I've just finished booking and recieved my confirmation #. The balance is only $469.20 due by Aug. 9th. We'll most likely drive as that's the most economical way w/4 people- it wasn't bad last year at all and will save us $$$.

Thanks for being happy for me guys! I gotta hit the sack- I work in the A.M. and I'm soooo exhausted.

BTW- Rachael and I went to see "Race to Witch Mountain" this evening and we really loved it!

Smooches and Smeeches, Gnomies!

Congrats Julez. I'm sure you are totally psyched! did you get any sleep?

LL, glad to hear the move went well.

It is 2:30 in the morning and I can't sleep :confused3 Normally, I have no problem sleeping so I'm not sure what is going on. Good thing it is Saturday and if I need to, I can nap in the afternoon. Greg has to work tomorrow, wierd huh! With all the snow days this winter, the district took a planned in-service day in Feb, made it a contact day and this was their solution to not extending the school year too far into June.

The boys are super excited because this morning is the Egg Hunt on the lawn of the Vet's Home in town. It's always a crazy few mintues and I'm amazed at how quickly the kids can clean that lawn!

I hope you all have a nice Saturday!

Julez -- I am so excited for your first on property stay!! You and your kids are going to love Pop. They will love the huge icons! Oooh, I am so happy for you!!

Katie -- An Easter Egg hunt sounds like so much fun!

I can't believe I am up already. I couldn't sleep anymore. The cats were really restless last night. And right now Ruby is just meowing and meowing, I can't figure out what is wrong with her. Silly cat. Sully keeps growling at her and attacking her. He's being a little jerk. AAhhh well.

I'm going to head to Walmart in a few so I can get my shower curtain hooks and some other little things we need. :thumbsup2

Good morning, ladies. I am up too early! Have a great day!

Lost shower hooks, LL? Guess the move couldn't be totally smooth....

Katie did you get some sleep? Rachael has sucked me into our first Easter Hunt next Sat. I've never been to one in my life so it will be fun!

l8r my Gnomies!

I know I bought shower hooks too! I know it, and I know I packed them too. I think they were so small that they just got lost in the shuffle of unpacking. Bah.

Yippee skippee!!! That is awesome Julez! What is more awesome (at least I think so) is that I'll be there the same time and I think Paula and Jen too! Hopefully we can meet for a glass of champagne? ::yes::

Hurrah for confirmation #'s. It's official. And I already see a new ticker in your signature! Thanks for the Witch Mountain info. I loved the old movies.

PS- still wondering what smeeches are... ;)

Congrats Julez. I'm sure you are totally psyched! did you get any sleep?

Happy first morning in your spacious new apartment!!! :goodvibes

Hey LL, glad to hear the move went well. Hopefully the kitties are doing better. Looking forward to the pictures. Hope things went well with MIL. You haven't mentioned her yet. :confused3

Have fun with your mom this weekend. :)

See you Monday morning.

BTW----check out my countdown calendar. YIPPEE!!!!!!! :cool1:

Good morning, Gnomies!

Yeay, LL is back online! I hope those new shower curtains resurface soon.

Julez, that is so awesome about your Disney trip! Hurray! I think it is adorable that DH wanted to go, too!

Katie, I might have to check out that spreadsheet! ;)

Boy, lots of gnomies up early on a Sat morning! Yes, I finally got tired again around 5. I kept myself busy alternating between freecell and readin a couple pages at a time of a new TR. Have any of you read DisneyMom5? She has 7 children age 15 and under :scared1: and dared to take them all to the world (along with her mom, SIL and niece and nephew). I'm amazed at her telling of the trip, it sounds like they had very few problems, I can't even imagine...when it comes to kids, we have always decided the man-to-man defense is best, I have NO desire to play zone defense!

I will try to take some pics at the egg hunt this morning, they separate the lawn into sections and designate the age range for each (a brilliant way to keep the bigger kids from dominating over the little ones) but with Greg at work today, Patrick will be on his own so I can stay with Daniel. I'm always anxious to see their set-up. A few years ago, some of the eggs had tickets inside that the kids traded in for bigger prizes, Patrick got a stuffed bunny and a craft basket - really cute. The last few years, they have just put treats in small plastic bags. The kids don't care!

MIL was pleasant. They brought pizza for dinner. They didn't stay very long, they forgot to feed their puppy so were anxious to get home to him. LOL.

My parents are on their way, they should be here in a few minutes. I've already been to Walmart and back. Bought new shower curtain hooks and took a shower with my Mickey curtain...very exciting stuff! Hehehe.

My Mom emailed me her choices for her ADR, all are very attainable now I just have to figure out which one I want to pick. :rotfl2:

Sounds like a successful morning. I always loved a new apartment, LL. Is there the wonderful smell of fresh paint and freshly cleaned carpets?? :lovestruc

And ADR w/free dining is a whole new world for us! We only ate CS at MK & DHS and TS at GF. So.... I'm gonna be uber studying on the best plan of attack!

Wow- that's a lot of kids!

And that's cute that they could get prizes. I wonder what it will be like next week at ours?:confused3

It's just not a thread w/o LL! ::yes::

And yes, it's pretty funny he couldn't bear the thought of me & Rach doing Disney w/o him!

Hi! Did I miss an introduction somewhere? I'm Julia anyway. Yay for Disneyland!! I can't wait to go back. It's not looking like until 2011 at the earliest. That would be a WONDERFUL future Mickey Marcette gathering- all the Disney history and culture is so awesome. :wizard:
