Stupid slow internet. Bestbuy had over 125 online today and i got all the way to the verify your credit info part and SOLD OUT. I want a Wii

I had such a hard time trying to order on launch day. They had 20 every hour from 8am until 7pm. I was trying every hour. I finally got one at 6pm (I think I got lucky since it was dinner time and grey cup time)

It was so frustrating, every time I thought I got one, it kept taking me back to my cart after the cc auth.

I have heard they will be getting them every week. Also try checking thesource.ca. At the store they said they would be selling them online, but didn't know when.

I feel like a kid, I want it and I'm going to whine and whine until i get it! I knew launch day would be crazy but I also assumed they'd be more readily available after launch day. You know what happens when you assume....

I was at Costco in London this morning they recieved a bunch and there were only 5 people there to get them. The guy handing out the tickets was asking people if they were there for a Wii and people were looking at him like he had 2 heads it was funny.

Wow, that sounds like when I buy stuff from Futureshop at midnight Christmas for their Boxing Day sales. Slow as molasses and then when ready to check out, all the stuff I wanted was now sold out. It was like somebody poached the items from my basket. <sigh> I now shop commando style for that sale....if there's something I definitely want, I buy it first and then I go back for other stuff. I could, conceivably, check out multiple times.

Tough luck on the Wii...but I'm sure you'll get one eventually ... and before Christmas!!

I too have had no luck in finding a Wii. I have all the grandparents on the hunt as well. Good luck to all. F4disneyfan. Does the Costco in London still have them? I have a friend there that can pick one up for me.

DH was in line at the BestBuy @ Northland Mall at the same time waiting for the 10 AM opening. They got 59 @ that location, and he got ticket # 40 at about 9:30.

The kids are going to be thrilled on Christmas morning!

Well, i can tell you who DOESN'T have Wiis in stock Saturday morning in Calgary.

-Market Mall EB Games

-Market Mall Toys R Us (they had one, we saw it, in someone's shopping bag)

-Westbrook EB Games
-Sunridge Zellers (had 15 this morning, all gone)

Well, I've got a nunchuck, zelda and an offer to buy a wii from someone from the USA which is most likely a scam but no wii.

Check again this week with Best Buy. I am also looking for one and spoke with the people in the store. They told me that they will get a shipment each week until Christmas. The consoles will be put on the floor first thing Friday morning. Call them Thursday and ask if they have any available for Friday. They also gave me an idea of the time to line up at to be sure to get one. Like Disney if you ask very directed questions the people in the store are full of information. Good luck. I plan on being in line this Friday too!

Thanks for the tip! I KNOW for sure (according to the email and the website) that BestBuy will definitely be getting some in for NEXT friday (Dec.8) Hopefully there are some unannounced wiis available THIS Friday. I'm gonna try anyway!

Definately try Best Buy. DH was really impressed with how they handled the distribution when he got ours on Friday!

He stopped at Northland BB on Thursday night and was told they had 59 units, and to be in line by 8 Friday. (Store opens at 10). He was there at 7:45 which left him 40th in line. (Line didn't seem that long when he arrived, but many people were saving spots for multiple members of their group )

BB had someone out to evaluate the line and explaan the procedure by 9, and handed out #s by 9:30 so everybody knew exactly where they stood.
They were escorted in small groups by # to the Wiis and then to the checkout. There was also a procedure in place for accesories (also limited quantities). No panic, pushing, running,elbows or unpleasantness as long as you get there early enough!

Future Shop in that mall also got a shipment that Friday, but were a mess . They didn't seem to know how many they had, had no system in place, and still hadn't opened there doors just after 10 when he was already inside BB and on his way to our Wii!

One more tip, that Friday some people lined up at the doors inside the mall.
Only the line outside got Wiis.

Well, at least you have an extra nunchuck for when you get the system. I've been trying to find one and they are sold out everywhere here. Dh and I can't play against each other except in tennis (I got a 2nd remote)

If we all get together we might be able to put together a full Wii set, 4 wimotes, 4 nunchucks, a console and Zelda and Rayman.... I don't think there is a single person who has the complete package.

I really hope it's not -35 on friday when i'm on the hunt!

So, i bought my cat food and some kitty litter (what goes in must come out!) and decided to try EB games and to my suprise they had the elusive nunchuck! I jumped on that cause of the problems everyone else is having trying to get one. I figured if i wait til i acutally have the wii that it'll be another 50 trips to stores to find a nunchuck. I still need wimote #2 though. Someday my wii will come.

I have no idea if it is fun everything is all wrapped up ready for HO Ho to drop it all off I have been very tempted to crack it open and play it after work a few times but I have managed to keep it all wrapped up till x mas LOL. You are more than welcome to come by and play after christmas but it may be a bit of a drive to London Ontario from your place LOL.
