No "Welcome Home"?

Just curious, thinking about the little things I miss about the resorts (like no more towel animals)... This is our first time at AoA, after several visits at the All Stars resorts. Before, the bus ride back always ended with a cheerful (recorded) "... And welcome home!" I guess I didn't realize how much I enjoyed that until last night--there was no "Welcome Home" after our first day at the parks. Is this usual for other resorts, a technical glitch, or have they discontinued the recording?

I sent an email to WDW during our last trip because the buses wen't playing any of the recorded music etc. It wasn't just one bus it seemed like every bus coming and going to our resort didn't play it. It's a really inexpensive way to keep a little magic in your stay and I was disappointed that it was gone. Disney replied that they were sorry for the inconvenience and that they would check into why the recordings weren't playing. It seems the bus drivers get tired of hearing it and turn it off! Send an email and let them know or there is a good chance that this will disappear too.

I stayed at All Star Music this past February, like we always do, and we had that recording. Must have been a glitch or the bus driver didn't cue it. As for the towel animals, we always get them. Don't know why you didn't.

We stayed at AOA in March and the music and recordings we're played on all busses we rode. When we'd get in our rooms at night, we always had mickey shaped towels and the kids toys were always set up playing or sleeping, etc.

I always thought the "welcome home" saying was for DVC properties. We always hear it at those resorts, but don't recall hearing it at anything like the moderates or value resorts at WDW. Maybe we just weren't listening?

It was originally only for those at the DVC properties...really made it a little bit more special. Then, it started happening at all the other resorts. I've heard it at all level of resorts....upon checking in...as well as on the buses.
I did notice, last May, that the buses didn't always have the recorded music playing. When it was, it was a surprise. I think that only every other bus played the MK track as we entered the bus stop area there.

Stayed at Pop Century this week and heard it on the bus back from Hollywood Studios. I wasn't paying attention on other rides, but I do remember hearing it that night.

I always especially love the music approaching Animal Kingdom. It always builds a sense of excitement and anticipation.

Yes! We just came back from Hollywood Studios this afternoon, and heard it as well.

Maybe it has something to do with the type of bus--when at All Stars, I think we took only the white buses. Yesterday we had a new (to us) type, and today we had white one like before. But really, it's just a nice touch that we won't take for granted anymore!
