No weekend AP rates/codes?

I just realized I may be waiting for an AP rate for nothing....as the dates we need are a Friday and Saturday night. The current AP rate says "Sunday through Thursday".

So my guess here is that I don't really have much chance at all of getting any kind of discount, eh? <sigh> Darned AP's burning a hole in our pockets...what have we gotten ourselves into? I already got the Thursday night on priceline...at Amerisuites...but we really need to be on property other than that first night's sleep.

Where did this come from? I read thru Mousesavers, and I don't think Mary says anything about no weekends. First I've heard of this.

First I have ever heard of something like that as well. Never had AP rates restricted on certain days. Where did you get this info?

It's actually stated on the passholder site. It was changed when they changed the dates to exclude Memorial Day Weekend.

Rate available most nights Sunday through Thursday 4/23/06 - 05/25/06 and 05/29/06 - 06/03/06.

Yes, I saw it on the passholder website and in the Mickey Monitor. I never saw a weekend restriction on AP rates before. We've primarily used AP rates for weekends in the past...either trips that weren't planned far in advance or to add to a DVC reservation. So, anyway, this surprised me.

I'll keep up my hope for an AP rate for this stay for just a little while longer....
