I just read in the Disney regulations that you can't wear a wedding dress in a theme park. I'm a little confused, I thought the whole point of having an escape wedding would be to get pictures in Magic Kingdom. You have to change into regular clothes before taking pictures? If this is an exception for escape weddings and I got married at a hotel, I couldn't hire a Disney photographer to take pictures of us in wedding attire? We are planning to book a table at a restaurant (be our guest) since we will be less than 20 people, they would turn us away unless we rush back to the hotel and change?

I'm pretty sure the only way to get pictures taken in the parks in your wedding attire would be to book a bridal portrait session, in which case it would just be the bridal couple and it would have to be before the park opens. Someone correct me if I'm wrong though...

Correct. Only way to wear wedding attire in the park is with a bridal portrait, which you can arrange since you have an escape wedding. You cannot have your reception in be our guest. Magic kingdom has no reception sites, and you cannot have your wedding attire then. There are other places that will let you, but none are in the magic kingdom. Rule also applies to wishes weddings. Sorry.

The only way to get photos in any of the parks is to book an in park wedding or to book a bridal portrait session which happens before the park opens.

If you turn up at the gate in your dress you will not be allowed in.

Additional thoughts: dhs and animal kingdom wedding events that allow wedding attire are typically after the park closes, so the key theme is no wedding attire in the parks during park hours, unless the event is in a backstage-like area. Dhs has a few, but then they would arrange for your party to arrive from backstage, which means paying for special transportation.

If you are doing an illuminations dessert party at Epcot, wishes events will allow wedding attire in the park during park hours, and the party requires an escort to get to the dessert party site. However, because it is technically not part of an escape package, I don't know if the rules are different for escape brides. Any other receptions at Epcot are at private venues not generally accessible to the public or at Monsieur Paul's, which requires a buyout of the restaurant.

We saw a bride and groom getting pics done in EPCOT near the Nemo ride. The park was open and they were with a disney photographer. Good Luck!

They may have had their reception at living seas which is why they were around that area :)

there is one way to do this. You get married during october when there is a halloween party at MK. You buy tickets to the halloween party at MK... you will be aloud to dress up as a bride for halloween for the halloween party and take photos as such. I know of at least one couple that did this. (the party was not on their wedding day i think but they got dressed again and were allowed in the park in their "halloween costumes").

We are getting married in Epcot before the park opens and then reception at the Living Seas Salon and a dessert party back in Epcot that night. We were told to change after the reception when in the parks b/c guests might mistake the bridal party for Disney characters. We can change back into wedding attire for the dessert party.
