Wednesday 28th July
Up by 6.40am and sat having a quiet coffee on the balcony while the rest of the family slept a little longer. We were running out of milk so another trip to Publix needed.
Aquatica was planned for today and we arrived just after opening. Not a huge water park fan but was looking forward to visiting somewhere we'd not been before. Dropped off our stuff in the lockers and did a couple of the rides, a raft ride (can't remember the name) the boys went in one raft and John and I followed in another. Glen and Ashley then went on the tall multi coloured slide. Found our way around to the wave pool but Glen was not impressed comparing it to TL it fell short. He sat down in the shade to have a teenager moment while Ashley had a play. They then discovered the lazy river and went round, and round, and round, and round (get the picture)Went around with them for a while but then decided to leave them to it and went and sat on a sun lounger. Being the big kids we are John and I decided to go and have a look at the kiddie area splash zone. Got even more drenched on that with adults (not kids) spraying us and dropping buckets of water on us but Glen and Ashley were having a rest by now. By 2pm we'd had enough so got changed and headed to Publix. Picked up some sandwich making stuff and headed back home for a late lunch.
Made our way to Seaworld late afternoon to catch the evening shows and fireworks. Finally got to go on Manta, the queues were really long on Monday but quite short this evening. Glen and I had gone on this last year and raved about it to the others so John decided to come on with us but we couldn't budge Ashley, he was adamant he wasn't doing it so he queued up with us but just waited while we went on it. It looks so gentle and gliding when you watch as a spectator but when you are riding on it it goes so fast!
Went back to the apartment and packed as we are moving on to Sarasota in the morning.
