Just got back from wdw and had a great trip. The weather was perfect, the crowds were manageable and we had fantastic character meals with the princesses and Pooh at CP. Everything was just right, except one small thing.

You know how with your kids you like to build things up so they get all excited and can't wait to experience what you have been telling them about. Well one small thing my four year old really enjoyed the last time we were at Disney and wanted to do again this time was hear Mickey give her a call each morning to wake her up. Well, we made the wake up call request for the next morning and at the appointed time the phone rang the next am. We excitedly told dd you need to answer the phone, you know who it is. Well the second she heard the voice on the other end, her face told the whole story. I got the phone from her and no, it was not MICKEY, but ESPN basketball commentator Dick Vatal hollering "watch the upcoming march madness on ESPN, babeeeeee!!!!!!". DD was fine within in seconds, just very disappointed.

Again, great trip and great to be back home and start planning the next trip to the world.

When we were there in Dec. we usual got calls from Stitch (much better than Dick Vital). The only time we "talked" to Mickey was when a cast member in EPCOT made a surprise call for my daughter on her birthday.

I called the front desk to see if you could request who makes the wakeup call and she said they could not. I guess this is just a temporary thing and they will have guest waker-upers from time to time. But, there is nothing like hearing Mickey saying "up and at'em". Maybe next time we with hear from the mouse.
