No VA dis scrap meet

A friend, just asked me the same thing.. here's what I told her:

Chocolate, whatever you want to work on and chocolate. I am making a recipe book for 15 people (Why did I ever start this?) and so I have a page (well, 15 of them to assemble) all the pieces are done, I just have to stick everything together. If you actually want to get any work done.. layout a few photos, the paper and embellies put them together in a folder. Make a few sets and then you will have a few things to work on.

They only provide you with space, computers and die machines. You need to bring (or buy) just about everything else. Paper trimmer, pens, adhesive etc. They don't sell chocolate though, so bring your own or stop at the Target on your way in :teeth:

You can print in 12x12 there... I can't remember if they have photoshop or not... but they do have card readers so you can put stuff on a memory stick and bring it with you to print.

Also.. Costco now has upload and print in an hour (for 4x6, next day for larger) so you can upload your photos in the afternoon and pick them up at the costco across the street on your way over to the store! ..and it's cheaper than if you took them into the store (17 cents online and 19 cents in store) cool, eh?

You just reminded me that I have to tear myself away from VMK long enough to layout some pages. I guess that will be what I am doing tomorrow

Hey, everybody!! I'm not working tonight, but I plan to stop by the store to participate in your mini-DIS meet! Don't think I can stay and crop, but I'll bring my Disney scrapbooks--hope ya'll will bring some of your stuff for me to see, too. I love to see other people's work!

Yes, we have Adobe Photo Shop on the computers for you to use. You can bring your pix on a CD and print them there--we charge by the sheet of paper, not how many pix you print. And then you have your choice of what kind of paper to print on! We DO have the glossy photo paper, but we also have some really great heavyweight scrapbooking paper that is very slick, but has a matte finish. A lot of the books and articles I've been reading recommend it rather than the glossy stuff.

Oh, and we try to have chocolate at all the crops, now! It was requested on so many of the surveys that our manager said we could budget some candy into the dinner menu!

Any of you signed up for the Disney class over at Memories next week? I'm calling it "research"!! LOL!!! Actually, I'm trying to pay more attention to all the classes that are available at the different stores in the area. There's just so much that I still don't know!!

See ya'll soon!!
