No Trains Until August 2017

According to David Koenig from todays Micechat update :

Trains Running Late
Sources in the Roundhouse say the steam trains will not be running until August 2017. Team Disney Anaheim had hoped to have the locomotives back on track before the summer started. However, they’ve encountered unspecified problems with the set up of the new track and the ride control system.

Basically construction delays and required change orders, and it might also hit other attractions that have been closed by Star Wars Land construction.

Fantasmic! might come back, but the ships will not be available to the public due to the required safety ride control system (California Law).

But a lot of the focus is trying to get them back as planned, but you won't here much about a return date until the summer, since we still can run into things forcing more delays, typical of any construction project.
