No towel animals at POP!

I think that depending on the mousekeeper, you may get the towel animals. I too am more concerned about the room being clean, however, that nice little surprise would make it more magical. I try to keep things picked up and the sink counter free from garbage and personal items..I have trouble enough cleaning my bathroom if after I have a guest and they keep their stuff all over.

After many trips.. we only got towel animals one time.. At the poly... Only after asking nicely for them..

Last week at POP every room that we passed in the 60's facing the pool & on our 3rd floor wing in the 60's had the same cute towel animal. Also, the first afternoon we were @ POP there were tables set up outside the shopping area with people making and selling towel animals.

This was the first time at any of the resorts that we've gotten a towel animal.

Were they actually selling them? When we have stayed at the Poly they have been making them and just giving them away.

Last time I read the Declaration of Independence there was something about life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, but nothing about towels animals.

Personally, I rather have my room cleaned more quickly and a better job of it than towel animals every day.

AMEN TO THAT!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :cool1: :cool1:

I never got a towel animal any day I was at Pop last year. I got one this year at Sports the day I checked in. It was the Mickey Ears. And I did get the "Toothbrush Flower" every day. Not to mention some little decorating using my nail clippers.

I had a couple over the 11 nights I was at the Pop, but I was more just wanting a clean room. The animals were okay, I left them behind for the next guests.

I remember one particular memorable stay at POP where the mousekeeper was great! Immaculate room no matter what time of the day I returned from the parks. But no towel animals...Boy was I feeling sorry for myself.

I always tip well and usually make up mousekeeping envelopes so anyway on my last full day, I return from the park and there is a pooh celebration basket all decorated with ribbons and stickers and absolutely georgous....so I ran down the halls until I found someone who could tell me who my mousekeeper was and where she was. Boy was she surprised..when I went in the room she was cleaning to thank her and give her a hug. I don't think her English was top notch, but I did leave her grinning.

I brought that basket home and I'm thinking of surpising my mousekeeper this trip with her tip in that basket....

Towel animals or not, those mousekeepers work so hard and are not paid well. I always tip well and try to keep the room free of clutter and I never leave anything on the floor to be picked up.

Many times, I leave a note not to change the sheets but I sometimes think they do not understand and change the sheets anyway. I only change the sheets once a week at home...so sleeping on the same sheets saves a little bit of water..geesh...

Anyway, this past year at CSR, no towel animals all week so when I was checking out, I left a thank you note for my mousekeeper and made her a simple Mickey with ears on the bed I did not sleep in....I hope she enjoyed it! PS and by the way, I love CSR and would stay there towel animals or no anytime I could...another great mousekeeper.

Towel animals or no, magic is where you find it or make it!

I also leave a tip, and try to give the housekeeper as little to do as possible. I always leave my towels hanging, yet they change them out anyway. :)

Towel animals to me are a bonus. They don't make my stay, they wouldn't break my stay. They are cute, but not anything I expect.
